and Website, comes to the Natural Product Expo West
launching his 2011-2012 Enchanted Garden
Media Projects.
In the last month, in response to the USDA deregulation
of Alfalfa, sugar beets, and other foods, he has begun
to grow alfalfa, along side his well known beet growing
project. He will be bringing some seedling pots of
alfalfa to the Expo with the intent of taking photos
of organic stakeholders watering the seed dream
to inspire a national and international Organic Uprising!
His goal at this year's show will be to interview
organic stakeholders, involved in the recent
USDA Deregulation of Alfalfa and other foods,
and other leaders who are aiming to influence
Washington.
His own take is that saying No to GMO is necessary,
but not enough. We need a massive reeducation program
from working with students, the youth, to people who
are struggling through the shift, to recognize that
we need an Organic Uprising.
Leslie is a full time blogger and community food activist
in San Diego where he often writes about the Hillcrest Farmers' Market,
that offers some of the finest and freshest foods around.
The Plant Your Dream blog and websites have more than 3 million
page view for its cumulative 2400 blogs written. Every day Curezone
has from 40,000 to 100,000 page views. In the middle of his
writing campaigns for Real Food Safety, one of his blogs generated
6000 page views. He often has many days when the Plant Your Dream
Blog has from 4,000 to 8,000 page views for his cumulative 2400 plus
blogs.
Leslie is moving increasingly into making videos with the new
Apple Imovie technology. His photos, highly prized,
were the gift item to donors of the Organic Trade Association
for many years. His photos were also gifted to the Organic Mission
video made by the Organic Center, an organization he has
promoted over the years.

Leslie main project in 2011-2012 will be stabilizing
his home, a 1/3 acre land holding within walking distance
of San Diego State University called the
Enchanted Garden Intentional Community, and then, moving forward
on the Campaign to Educate Washington on Real Food Safety
that was launched in the Fall of 2010.
Leslie spend 100's of hours blogging in 2009-2011 on

Leslie considers Eden Foods, a model of
food integrity.
He also supports the model of Fair Trade as
expressed by the Bronner Soap family.

ENCHANTED GARDEN SEAL OF GOOD PLANETARY
BEET KEEPING, I.E. HOUSE KEEPING, WILL EMERGE
My aim will be to come up with an Enchanted Garden
Seal of Good Planetary Beet Keeping, i.e, House Keeping
before long.
"I would like a label that designates a quality of food
and products that recognizing we are spending our money
with the intent that we are here to stay on the earth." he says.
Leslie works with sponsors and an international membership
of Beet Keeper Enchanted Garden Club Members who support
his non-profit work.
He was given a United Nation's Peace Medal in 1983 from
Robert Muller, then Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations
for the world he would do in his life.
At a young 63, Leslie, aims to follow in the footsteps of his
mentor Dr. Bernard Jensen, whose brightest years were between
67-87. Jensen was internationally known as one of the elders
of the Natural healing arts. Leslie wrote numbers of his books,
and he has more than ten books of his own on the shelf
waiting to be republished.
The book, "The Ultimate Gardener," published by HCI in 2009
is dedicated to him.

The relationship between our youth and Biotech has
been well thought out and has the inside track with
support of the Washington's White House.
Biotech has the ears of our President and is getting
what it wants.

IN SEARCH OF MONSANTO
At BIO 08 in San Diego, I was a member of the Press Corps.
I went searching for Monsanto, beet in a pot.
Monsanto did have a booth per se, but I I found a
congenial young man from an Ag school in Saint Louis.
We hit it off. Amazingly, I found a package of organic cilantro
as a take away item. It was then the idea came to me that
one day, Monsanto would have an organic division.
When the price of alfalfa seeds so up to $49.00 for a handful,
Monsanto will start its organic division.
I am going to do all I can to educate through
Organic Uprising! We cannot live with organic.
We are organically grown, and seeds are implicated
in the fulfillment of our dreams.
It was at the American Association for the Advancement of Science,
"Triple A-S" (AAAS), the international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science around the world, that Leslie
interacted with Dr. Robert Farley, the father of Monsanto's Round Up Ready,
and one of the main information officers for Monsanto, Tammy Craig
Schilling.
In an amazing encounter, Leslie planted organic beet seeds
in a pot with Dr. Fraley aiming to close the gap in understanding
between Organic and GMO lovers.
Leslie, who plants seed dreams wherever he goes,
sees the future of Monsanto as giving up on Biotech
for economic reasons. I see them moving into organic
and having an organic division.

One of his Seed Dreams, is to speak at the AAAS on
the need for an Organic Uprising that is supported by
an authentic dialogue on science, ethics, and food.
Leslie was at the center of the argument for "Coexistence
of organic, conventional, and Genetically Engineered" farming
controversy as early as winter 09, when the USDA first
proposed the idea.
He gained the support in a video at the California Small Farm
Conference of then California Secretary of Ag A.G. Kawamura
who farms both organically and conventionally.
MOVING INTO VIDEOS
He is moving strongly into making videos, and his new website
in development, sponsored by his favorite entrepreneurs and
products he admires, aims to continue to be a force in
planting seeds to grow 1000 years of peace.
Leslie, a Hearst National Journalism award winner in college
many years ago, was given a United Nation's Peace Medal for the work
he would do in his life by Robert Muller, then assistant secretary general.

Leslie looks at the world from the perspective
that we will be looking back 1000 years to this moment
in time, when humanity has a moment of awakening.
Leslie's perspective on what is happening now in both
economic, political, and social realms is part of this emergence
of a return to Nature's original technology.
"We will have 1000 years of peace on earth,
one way or another," he says. "It is for us to adapt now
if we want to be here to enjoy the evolution of the earth.
We can be apart of the evolution."
"If the world is to survive, it will be organic. We have no
choice. I am betting on the people of the world coming
to their senses. This is what Organic Uprising is all about.
I am looking at things from the perspective that we can
have 1000 years of peace. So what technology would we
have if we lives as if we planned to be here?" Leslie says.

A project to ground the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
in San Diego as a "finishing school" that gives inspiration to the next
generation of nearby SDSU students.
"We know very little about cooperative living with each other
and the earth." The Seed Dream is for the kitchen at the
household to feature the finest natural food products
he can find.
BEET KEEPERS, RETURN!
Leslie sees the US becoming again A Nation of Gardeners.
"We have lost our beat with nature.
Through growing simple foods, even one organic beet
in a pot, we can have a moment of awakening." he said.
Beet Keepers is a play on words, and refers
to the dream that we need to return to living in sync
with the beat of nature.
Literally he asks that we each plant a beet in a pot
to begin to regain our beat with nature.

in 2010, Leslie spent many hours writing about
the Food Safety Modernization Act.
His article "Chewing on Food Safety: A National Conversation is Needed
was featured on the Huffington Post, as well as Joann Armenta's
blogtalk Radio Show three times.
A petition he started in 2010 says we can no longer leave governing
to a small group of legislators, many who have never visited a farmers' market or shopped at a health food store.

PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM
This program in 2010 launched our
Campaign to Educate Washington on Real Food Safety.
We will do something in 2011 likely on the beach.
Every year, Leslie introduces the finest products he knows to the
Traditional Chinese Medicine community through his participation
at the Pacific Symposium, one of the leading conferences that happens each year in San Diego.
His goal in 2011 will be to continue introducing the finest products
he personally uses to the nation's leading practitioners.
For many years,
he has created an altar at the conference where people plant their
dreams.
This year, the Enchanted Garden Installation
will scale down as Leslie transitions to making more videos, and
gathering sponsors for his campaigns.

THESE ARE OUR AIMS
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
