THIS IS AN UPRISING OF ORGANIC ALFALFA
In recent weeks, I have been growing organic alfalfa.
I am looking to the internet these days for action steps
and a people's uprising of unified support.
A positive step is growing our own food,
and knowing the local farmers and producers

THE ENCHANTED GARDEN
SEAL OF GOOD PLANETARY BEET KEEPING
I would like to bring to the world
an Enchanted Garden Seal of Good Planetary Beet Keeping,
a seal that represent a standard of excellence,
a seal that represents an honor
bestowed on entrepreneurs and their products
that have extreme good at heart,
good that is one with the heart beat of nature.
The heart beat of nature
asks to be heard in our own hearts
and asks to be an expression
of our dreams that we bring into the world.
GOOD HOUSE KEEPING
Years ago, there was a magazine
called Good Housekeeping. I knew it around
my home during childhood.
I see that Good Housekeeping
exists now as an online resource
that is trusted for tips.
Good Housekeeping magazine was a standard
in my mother's house.
Today we need to expand that standard
to the Planet. We are being asked to live
in a way that relates how we live at home
to how we care for our entire earth.
In a sense, the mother today is Mother Earth.
The house, is our home, as well as our garden,
and it is our entire planet as well.

THE ENCHANTED GARDEN
First things first.
THE Enchanted Garden, as I have used
the concept for more than 30 years,
is a name for our renewed earth that
grows one seed and seed dream at a time.
It is a reference to Eden. It also is a reference
to the world that can exist as we accept
the invite from mother earth to Plant Your Dream.
GOOD PLANETARY HOUSE KEEPING?
The concept of an Enchanted Garden
seal could very well be called a seal of
good planetary house keeping.
We are being asked today to take a few more organic steps
if we are to survive as well as thrive today.
Most of us today, live as if we feel we can
ask the earth to adapt to us. More so, for our
very existence, we can no longer ask the earth
to adapt to us. We need to adapt to it.
THE CONCEPT OF BEET KEEPING
More than a concept of Good Planetary House Keeping alone,
we need to add the idea of Beet Keeping.
The concept of "Beet Keeping" needs
an explanation.
Plants play a very role in our life,
beyond what we know to be true today.
The way to regain this sensitivity, this right relationship
to our innermost soul and to the soil, is to
to get intimate with growing plants and growing
a bit of our own food.
In growing a plant,
we have can have a moment of awakening
in our relationship with the earth.
Plants are meant to be the go between
our Soul, our unique inndividuality,
and the Soil. The soil is the equivalent of the womb.
The more fertile the soil, the healthier the plant.
The healthier the soil, the more we have inside us
to make ground our dreams.
Food gives us what we need.
We needly need refined soil
full of micro-nutrients to make the connection
between soul and soil.
It is food that feeds us what we need.
WHAT IS IT TO BE A BEET KEEPER?
TO BE A BEET KEEPER
To be a Beet Keeper
is to honor the integrity of our food
at a time when most of us do not know what is
making us sick.
TO be a Beet Keeper is to recognize
that through the simple act of growing food,
doing something as simple as repotting an organic
beet that we have purchased from a local organic farmer,
we can begin to restore a healthy balance
to the earth.
Health begins in our own backyard.
I mean this metaphorically as well as literally.
One person + One pot= You're a Gardener.
We begin where we are.
When you repot a beet, it will continue to grow.
You can eat the greens. You can gain confidence
you can grow your own food.
Beet Keeping, can be seen as an an act of caring for our planet
through being a beet keeper.
This is the time for Beet Keepers, Return!
WE HAVE LOST OUR BEAT WITH NATURE
We have lost our beat with nature.
We need to turn our beat around with nature.
We can turn the beat around.
We can once again have our personal heart beat
resonating with nature if we do something
as simple as grow a beet in a pot.
Truly this is the day of
Beet Keepers, Return!
It is a day when we return to becoming
people who garden again, and come to see gardening
for what it is, a way of life.
Truly we need beet keeping.

makes sense to you.

LOVING NATURE'S ORIGINAL TECHNOLOGY
There is a great need now, to love what sustains us,
to love Nature's Original Technology.
The technology that makes dreams possible
is seeds. Seeds are the foundation of Nature's Original Technology.

that there is a Divine Plan behind seeds. It is not O.K. to take seeds
and Genetically Modify them.
Science has its limits; God, or whatever you want to call the life force
that inspires seeds to grow, has a bigger idea.
THE URGENT NEED
WE ARE IN A ROCK YOUR SOUL OPERA
Today, we we are putting economic gain over quality of life.
Truly we need a standard that
cares more about nutrition per acre than profit per acre.
We simple have to take our seeds back.
I think of the drama happening now as
a Rock Your Soul Opera calling you out to
Plant Your Dream.
ADD ORGANIC ALFALFA TO YOUR POT
Today, adding some alfalfa seeds along with your
growing beet has meaning. It is a gesture that lets
others know that in our own lives,
we are willing to take our seeds back.
THE ECONOMICS OF ALFALFA
Alfalfa, called the father of food,
is a legume that has been called the Father of all Foods.
Due to political manuevers, growing Genetically Engineered,
very unnatural alfalfa, has not been deregulated by the very
agencies we count out to protect our health.
We are about to lose our stands of organic alfalfa.
We are giving away our future.
Let me explain.
Within a matter of weeks at the beginning of 2011,
the federal government deregulated the growing
of Genetically Engineered alfalfa, and then
Sugar beets. Most people, including the government,
are banking on this move, as if it will somehow
bring economic gain. It may bring short term economic gain
to some, but longterm,
for others who care about health and who are concerned about
cellular integrity, we are unleashing a form of
agriculture that is untested. Many people, who
have looked at the evidence suggest we are
entering dangerous evolutionary ground.
GE FOODS
WE ARE LOSING THE INTEGRITY OF OUR FOOD SUPPLY
We are basically losing the integrity of our food supply.
We are basically living lifestyles that are making us sick,
and this is going to get worse with letting the
"Genie" out of the bottle, as some call it.

I was watching the Ed Schultz show on MSNBC on Valentine's Day
2011.
President Obama's tax program was one of the main news stories.
A woman, who identified herself as a 99er,
also was interviewed. She had to sell a gold ring and a set
of golf clubs from her dead husband. She sold these to make ends meet
for pennies of the value that these products meant to her heart.
THE BIG NEWS NOW
From my point of view, the big news story
that I am not seeing anywhere in the popular press
is the loss of our food supply,
This is an issue of Real Food Safety.
MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF PEOPLE
NEED TO STAND UP NOW FOR OUR FOOD SUPPLY
Alfalfa, sugar beets, and other crops are
going to take a big hit now if millions and millions of
people do not have a moment of awakening.
Extreme harm is happening because most of us
do not understand what it means to
be a Beet Keeper.

When we grasp the role of gardening and farming in our lives,
we are one with the beat of nature.
Our thinking, from a natural point of view, needs to
be corrected.

Positive actions are needed to come together as one
community that sees the Shift with our food supply
that needs to happen.
We all are on the same team.
This is no time for divisiveness among those who
want to protect our organic food supply.

WE CAN GROW FOOD
Most of us imagine we do not have a green thumb.
We imagine we could not grow anything.
That is why I suggest that we each do something
to regain our beat with nature.
KNOW YOUR GROWER
Beyond this, we are called to know the
farmers and growers who supply the rest of our foods.
THE BEET KEEPERS WERE BORN TO HELP OUR
LOCAL ORGANIC FARMERS
A good beginning would be growing an organic beet in a pot.
This idea came to me a few years ago.
I witnessed a local farming friend, Joe Rodriguez Jr,
of J.R. Organics. He was struggling with imposed water shortage restrictions.
He told me tell me how difficult it was to continue to farm.
He Needed more people to wake up to
the importance of what he was doing.
He needed more people to back him, and his other
farmer friends, in putting out money upfront so he and they
had what they needed to buy the seeds and sustain our local
farm economy.
He needed more people to hear his predicament.
He called out for a Moment of Awakening.
KEEP THE BEET MEDIA STAR?
A STORY LINE THAT CAN SUCCEED
IN SHARING THE STORY THAT NEEDS TO BE TOLD
It was then I imagined the birth of a magical character
called Keep The Beet Media Star,
The World's First Talking Beet Plant.
The story has taken on a life of its own.
A a talking beet left the field
in loneliness because no one was there anymore.
Truly this is big news from nature's point of view.
THE ECONOMIC STRUGGLE
The shortage of beet keepers on the planet, goes hand in hand
with our struggle today to find balance
economically.
The foundation of our economics need to go hand in hand
with our relationship to the quality of our food.
We are in route to going bankrupt spiritually and economically
because we have lost our beat with nature.
I truly believe we can turn the beat around
economically as well as "being of one piece"
if we regained our relationship to the garden.
The garden is a metaphor.
It is not only a place. It is a practice.

GMO FOODS NEED TO BE LABELED NOW
GMO Foods need to be labeled one way or another,
but we need to go beyond just saying No to GMO.
This is a critical issue.
The Organic Consumer Association
has a plan to ask each of us to label GE Foods
in our supermarkets.
This is a radical idea, and will stir things up.
This is a move that can get some media attention.

A people's campaign, inspired by the
Organic Consumers Association is asking us to go into
stores and start putting stickers on the foods
that contain Genetically Modified Organisms.

THESE ARE OUR AIMS
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
