Day 5
Finally hitting my stride.
Date: 1/24/2011 5:58:37 AM ( 13 y ) ... viewed 1631 times Things are going pretty well this morning. Yesterday was nice. I took a nap, but I am having issues (if you can call them that) with having so much energy in the evenings. It's not good when I have to be at work at 6:30am, but there are worse things in the world. I had one or two stomach gumbles, but I am pretty sure that my tummy is finally shut down. I periodically get bad body odor, and I had about a 30-minute emotional roller coaster. I am learning that before I bite someone's head off, which I did not do, I need to step back for a couple hours and wait until my body calms down to evaluate whether my emotions are warranted or if it is a part of the detox process.
I have been drinking a green drink in the morning, my orange drink for lunch, my fruit drink in the evening, and Komboocha teas if I need an extra something to hold me over. It has worked out pretty well. I can tell my waist is going back down a little, which is a relief. I took the time to read yesterday, and it was so much easier; normally, I have the brain fog, but I was able to read and absorb every word. It's so nice to feel like my mind is getting sharp again.
The television did not come on at all yesterday, and I did not miss it. The day was so peaceful. I hadn't had cable for many years until about 3 years ago. And now it feels like all I ever do is watch television, which was why I was so hesitant to get cable in the first place. A friend of mine, who is a Mennonite, was telling me that his family only has basic cable and Netflix. I may cancel my cable and go the same route. I amaze myself when it comes to some of the trash TV that I watch. It would be nice if I started referring to books rather than TV shows in conversations.
Until next tomorrow.
