Day 1 & 2
Starting my juice fast.

It's that time again. I am on day 2 of a juice fast, and so far am having a decent time with it.
I have been traveling so much for work and struggle finding good food while doing so. I also have been eating too much cheese and have had some issues with sugar and candida again. I started "splurging" on breads, which caused many problems with my gluten allergies. I just need a reset. I have gained about 20lbs over the past two years.
Also, 2011 is going to be an amazing year of positive changes. I think God (or whatever you want to call him/her/it - this is just the generic term) has so much in store for me and many of my friends this year, and I have been studying on the spiritual aspects of fasting throughout the cultures. There are so many promises in holy scriptures that God makes for fasting and I need some help from Him. I know that so many doors opened up for me when I did my first fast. People may argue that maybe it was a coincidence that there were major changes in my life after my fast. But God has been so active in my life that I cannot question Him, and I credit Him with responding to the fast. (And, yes, I have questioned the "coincidence" factor. But I keep testing this, and He always comes through. I can only say that I am convinced now.)
I have a lot of travel over the next month. I have my trusty orange juicer ready to thow into my bag.
The fast started yesterday and it was fine. I had a fresh-squeezed orange juice from Jamba Juice and some Odwallas since I was flying home all day. I had a little bit of a headache, but it was very minor. There was some hunger pangs, but not too bad.
Starting weight: 150.1lb (as of 10 days ago)
Any encouragement is most welcome. Thank you!
