BEGIN THE EDUCATION OF WASHINGTON
ON REAL FOOD SAFETY
THE VERY SOUL OF AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
IS AT STAKE TODAY at S510 COMES UP.
CHEW ON FOOD SAFETY:
A NATIONAL CONVERSATION IS NEEDED
John Vasconcellos, former CA state Senator,
founder of the Politics of Trust, has said
"Democracy is no longer a spectator sport."
Food: What is it? Why is it making us Sick?
Why has it become a source of contamination?
Is the contamnation of our food supply
merely a symptom of a deeply underlying
imbalance that asks to be addressed now???
What do we have to do now to restore food to
what it is intended: a Source of inspired
substance intended to help us each be fully expressive,
to provide the building blocks that allow us to
Plant Your Dream.
Now is the time to Root Your Dream deeply
through reclaiming our individual and collective
roles as stars in a great Rock Your Soul Opera
called Beet Keepers, Return!
I urge you to participate now in the future of food.
Do not allow 100 Senators who may have never
shopped the Hillcrest farmers' Market in San Diego,
or visited a health food store near you,
or witnessed the health benefits of a natural supplement,
--when needed and applied with wisdom--
to determine the future of our food supply
to be the final say through the passage of
#S510, The Food Safety Modernization Act.
Dear Senator,
Dear FDA, USDA, EPA, future
Codex Alimentarius Commissioner;
Dear Sacred Seed, called now to stir
and rejoin humanity at an epic moment
in the History of Peace on Earth,
now is is the time for all of us to
Chew on Food Safety:
A National Conversation is Needed.

"The fruits do not yield their true flavor to the purchaser of them, nor to him who raises them for the market. There is but one way to obtain it, yet few take that way. If you would know the flavor of huckleberries, ask the cowboy or the partridge. It is a vulgar error to suppose that you have tasted huckleberries who never plucked them. A huckleberry never reaches Boston; they have not been known there since they grew on her three hills. The ambrosial and essential part of the fruit is lost with the bloom which is rubbed off in the market cart, and they become mere provender. As long as Eternal Justice reigns, not one innocent huckleberry can be transported thither from the country's hills."

So please call your Senators today to urge them to oppose S.510!
In addition, even if they are not your own Senators, contact the following Senators to complain about their anti-freedom support of S.510: Orrin Hatch (UT), Tom Harkin (IA), Mike Enzi (WY), Lamar Alexander (TN), Judd Gregg (NH), John Isakson (GA), and Richard Burr (NC). These are Senators who should know better, but are supporting this bill in a misguided belief that it will actually accomplish something.

#S510, the Food Safety Modernization Act, comes to a vote after Thanksgiving.
Be one of 1 million calls to the Capital Switchboard
at (202) 224-3121. Call for a national conversation on Food Safety
with all voices being heard on the issue before the Senators vote
on this extremely important and far reaching bill.
MORE ON MY TAKE...
The senators would like to rush the bill through
without fully digesting the issues involved here
or giving We the People, a thorough voice
in the decision making of the future of our food supply.
As the bill would pass now,
It grants the FDA too much additional authority to harm those
who would practice Food as Medicine.
In recent months, The FDA has raided people
who want the right to eat and use raw milk and cheese,
and has gone after raw cheese providers.
In Europe and the UK, the trend is to make it very
difficult for natural herbs and medicines to survive
after April 2011. The FDA is in alignment with that trend.

The Choice Between Corporate Food vs. Earth Food
by Guest Blogger,
Kimberly Usher, Antiphospholipid and Pesticide Effects Blog
The facts are all there; the Good Earth food for health has more nutrition,
while the Corporate food has none, or very little…this is why the Codex Alimentarius Treaty, mwith the WTO, is important to the corporate food groups…in the Codex Alimentarius Treaty, which will be ratified by Congress with the passing of the Food Safety Modernization Laws (S510, HR2749), the legal standard for the amount of nutrition in foods will go down, and the legal standard for poisons in our food go up…
It is that simple.
And this will affect the entire world, as this is an international treaty.
Not one word was mentioned on the Senate floor, publicly, about Codex nutrition and chemicals, Monsanto, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), factory farms food and animal problems. Not one word about the USDA already seizing, and targeting who they “believe” are problems in the system (who happen to be organic and natural health stores, and farms). Not a single mention of the FDA and other government agencies involved in the so called revolving door with Monsanto; where Monsanto employees are moving back, and forth between government positions (Isn’t that really a con’s Piracy?). Not a peep about the suffering of the soil, and problems from GMOs.
Telling.
In S.510 there is a reference to changing USC Code and Federal Law. In 2 strike outs, and insertions; the government will have the right to condemn a farm or its products with merely the “reason to believe.”
How would you win in court if you had a problem
with a USDA inspector who believes something you didn’t?

URGENT CALL FROM THE POP CAMPAIGN –
ACT NOW – FOR A MONDAY PUSH-BACK

Call Your Senators: Urge A Vote NO on S. 510–The Food Safety Bill! (phone #’s below)
S. 510, Food Safety Legislation is slated to come to a vote on the Senate floor on Monday, November 29. While the bill has been improved from a year ago, it still provides an expansion of government into the lives and decisions of Americans regarding foods, farming, and dietary supplements. This bill includes provisions that authorize the government to map the entire food production system and to track every food product we purchase and grow.
.
Senator Reid of Nevada, after barely holding on to the majority in the Senate and keeping his job as Senator and Majority Leader, has made S. 510 a priority for passage before the 111th Congressional session ends this year. This Bill is expensive, intrusive, and will not make the food supply safer. It will however compromise your liberty and privacy while driving the costs of foods higher.
.
The numerous policies and guidelines to be developed are to be ‘science-based’. The problem with this is that most of the research the government will rely on comes from the agricultural giants who have been pushing small farmers and even heritage seeds out of the marketplace.
.
Behind the scenes, orchestrating ‘food safety’ legislation in the United States is a strategic plan of the UN’s Codex Alimentarius Commission for every nation to develop “national food control systems’ including legislation on food safety and which promote and adopt Codex Guidelines. The fabric of America does not include ‘food control’ laws, but that is exactly what S. 510 launches.
.
We have a “once-in-a-lifetime” chance to stop this Bill before it becomes law. Call your own two Senators (listed below). ASK YOUR SENATORS TO VOTE NO ON S. 510 – THE FOOD SAFETY BILL. If we can convince 51 Senators to vote NO on S. 510, Victory is ours.
,
Target your calls and faxes for Sunday night and Monday – and until the vote is taken. See examples of letters or faxes and support for your calls under “Act Now” tab and “Senate Letters”.
b
A * in the last column means they are a Republican that voted yes on the motion to proceed and should be called to encourage a NO vote. A # in the last column means they are in an agricultural state and should be encouraged to vote NO.

CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE WASHINGTON
ON REAL FOOD SAFETY
Dear Senator, we love you!
Please come out to the Hillcrest Farmers'
Market in San Diego.
Watch Youtubes to begin getting an
education of our Rock Your Soul Opera called
Beet Keepers, Return!
We want to help you see
what American the Beautiful
is about at the organic farm bed level.
DEAR FDA AGENTS
Dear FDA: We at the Campaign are pro FDA.
We want to visit with you at our local Hillcrest Farmers' Market.
Welook forward to new FDA leadership that is grounded
in Science, Ethics, and Food.
Keep the Beet Media Star
the World;s First Talking Beet Plant,
is here to be your Czarina of Foods.
We are here to help you understand that food is more
than a commodity. "America The Beautiful!!
Our bottomline is nutrition per acre for our farmland
more than profit per acre.
We call for a thorough vetting of current FDA attacks
on "Food as Medicine" providers
(including raids on raw cheese and raw honey sources
and providers).
Please clearly state your opinions and clarify your behavior
in the court of public opinion.
before Federal committees
on Food Safety. We, too, ask that our testimony
be heard in the Congressional record.
We ask a full and transparent
history in regard to your role in GMO proliferation,
the introduction of bovine growth hormone,
and approval of chemicals and
products that we consider dangerous to Public Health.
We ask that you full disclose your point of view
against GEO labels on food. We ask you clarify
your recent positions on Aspartame, BPA, and
release of GE Salmon in our oceans.
We ask that you fully disclose your relationship
to the Codex Alimentarius and explain fully
on NPR Radio and TV and explanation of the Food Rules
that you prefer. We ask a thorough above board
transparent explanation of Trade rules and sanctions
under Codex and how they may or may not be
used to pressure Senators to to set up arbitrary
deadlines to pass Food Safety Laws that have
not been fully digested.
We question if it is wise to allow the future of our
food to rest in the hand of 100 senators who
may not as yet visited or befriended local family farmers
or milked a contented cow.
We invite you to explore true health values
and welcome you to take a visit to Rancho La Puerta
Destination Spa in Tecate. We want you to meet some
of the people of Tecate, our neighbors and find out
how good neighbor relationships are possible through
collaboration on environmental education.
ONE MILLION EARMARK FOR
LA MILPA ORGANIC OPEN UNIVERSITY RESEARCH PROJECT
We ask that you earmark $1 million now to research
and come to understand why there are no shortage of
bees at the former La Milpa Organic Farm in Escondido,
California, where Barry Logan farmed for seven years.
Why are the bees happy there? What
farming practices were he and his laborers, who worked
outside the conventional Workman's Compensation system,
doing that won the hearts of so many at the Hillcrest
