We are in the final hours before Election Day in several states. Tomorrow provides an opportunity for Republicans to continue the march to fire Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House as it brings us one seat closer to the 40 we need to win in November to regain the majority. Republican Tim Burns is running in a special election to fill the late Democrat Rep. John Murtha’s seat in the 12th District of Pennsylvania. Despite the fact that Democrats have a two-to-one voter registration advantage, polls show we are running neck-and-neck because we have a great candidate and voters oppose the Obama-Pelosi agenda. Please help put Tim Burns over the top by calling and encouraging voters in the district to head to the polls tomorrow.
On Saturday, the final ballots will be counted for the special election in Hawaii to determine who will take retiring Democrat Rep. Neil Abercrombie’s seat. Republican Charles Djou, the only candidate in the race who actually lives in the 1st District, has a great chance to turn the dark blue district where President Obama was born Republican Red.
There are also primaries tomorrow in Arkansas, Kentucky, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. Some of the races deserve a special watch – a Democratic Civil War is brewing that pits the Democrat’s liberal base against Americans unhappy with their rubber stamping of the failing Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda.
For the Pennsylvania Senate – will Republican turn-coat, Democrat Sen. Arlen Specter, lose his primary and thus his seat? Whoever wins the Democratic primary tomorrow, Republicans have a strong candidate in Pat Toomey to defeat him in November.
In Arkansas, will Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln become another casualty of the government-run health care bill that Arkansans and Americans overwhelmingly oppose?
