Green Jobs - Policies & Progress in the U.S.
Meet one of the nation’s foremost environmental advocates,
Jerome Ringo, at CCSE as he discusses the latest policies
and practices that are spurring clean-tech industries
and the green job marketplace.
Ringo, a leader in the “green power” movement,
is a driving force behind the Apollo Alliance,
a coalition of labor, environmental, national security,
civil rights and business leaders fighting to
make America independent from foreign energy
in 10 years. He is in town to participate
in San Diego State University’s Green Fest,
a week of events celebrating sustainable awareness and Aztec pride.
Ringo is a senior executive for Green Port,
an international firm dedicated to greening seaports worldwide,
and the former chairman of the National Wildlife Federation
and former president of the Apollo Alliance.
While with the Apollo Alliance, he created the ten-year,
five million green jobs plan that is echoed
by much of President Obama’s environmental
and job creation agenda.
An author and lecturer,
Ringo inspires audiences around the world to create a new,
clean-energy economy. Although now in the private sector,
he continues to serve as a member of the Apollo Alliance’s
board of directors and to work toward uniting environmentalists
with corporate and industrial leaders.

I heard from Glen that Jerome is speaking at the
Regional sustainablity center at 9 AM Friday APril 23, 2010.
I need o locate the address and detail.
I heard there was a signin on line.
