Keep the Beet here,
The World's First Talking Beet Plant!
I wanted to give a shout this morning
to my dearest of friends,
Anthony Russo. Anthony and I did a little
check in the other day.
He is getting hitched up with his lovely bride
in a couple of weeks. I have not received an invite
to the wedding, but even if Leslie does not get me
up there, I will be rooting for Anthony and his lovely
new wife to have many years of bliss and joy.
Anthony is about all things good in the world.
He is a key player in my Great Earth Cleanup Project
to educate every body that Styrofoam is out.
It is just too easy for styrofoam to break into the flow
of our water system and end up out of sight and out of mind
thousands of miles away in the Pacific or Atlantic Gyre.
There are beds of trash out in the ocean where
all my friends of the sea live. I personnally know
fish that are having a hard time breathing and finding
enough sunshine. The surface of the oceans are cluttered
with all kinds of junk from fast food containers, and
stuff like that.
Can you hear me? This has just got to stop.
Have you a clue where our new clean air comes from?
Lots of it comes from little itsy bitsy single celled diatoms
who live in the ocean. These diatoms are sucking it
and they are sick of sucking it up.
If we do not stop our bad plastic and styrofoam habit,
you might as well invest now in a breathing tank.
We are really throwing off the balance in the seas.
SO HERE IS THE PLAN
Anthony is one of my top Beet Keeper, Return! sponsors.
There a a bunch of farmers this morning in Asia who
are making a living collecting the left over by-products
from sugar cane production. This by-product is called
Bagasse.
Anthony has some of his Asian allies collecting the sugar
cane and turning it into lovely kinds of take out containers.
The styles are delightful.
Last night at our "Third Annual Don't Eat the Matzah Seder"
here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
we all drank our Kombucha from the pot size that Leslie
uses for his Kid Ed project. Vincent, our celebrated guest kid,
and a wonderful shofar horn blower, was busy doing art.
Hopefully, he will be coming back to decorate a few of our
Biosmart Kid and Ocean Friendly sugar cane bagasse
pots.
After we drank from the pots, we used them as plates.
Angelene preferred another model that looks more like
a Japanese dish. Being that it was Passover, a time we celebrate
coming out of Misery and Enslavement, we used the take out
Biosmart containers. These are compost friendly.
Our worms are happy campers eating biosmart.
When you plant some beet seeds in your decorated pot,
adding in some compost or Foxfarm Ocean and Forest blend,
your little Seed Dreams will grow for a week or two in the pot.
Then you have to carefully cut the pot and put it into a bigger
pot. My Keep the Beet Program, as your Czarina of Foods, is
One Pot + One Person = You are a Gardener.
The pot can begin with one of the BioSmart models.
I want to ask you to have at least three traveling pots at all times,
of a larger kind, preferably a reused plastic pot, so you can be
giving these away to friends along the road of life.
I am not going to get to the White House Garden to see
my friend Michelle until my Keep the Beet Program becomes
the Rage. So get busy.
THIS IS WHAT I AM ASKING YOU TO DO
1. Stop using Styrofoam, and plastic whenever possible.
2. Buy some of my pots off the Beet Keeper site.
Leslie earns a little pocket change to support my cause
when you buy from this link here.
3. Get familiar with the different designs and models.
4. If you want to earn money for your good works,
Anthony and I are cooking up a plan to have really great websites
up before long, where you too can earn some funds by
helping me with my Great Earth Clean Up.
I am only giving you two years--until 2012- before I and your
Mother Earth are really going to upset at you unless you clean
up your act.
You have got to get this and get busy now cleaning up the oceans.
Have you notice what happens when Mother Earth gets pissed off
lately??????
Exactly how big a Big One do you need before you get a clue.
If you happen to fall in a big crack, I told you so,
and don't take it personal. Mother Earth is just doing
a balancing act. You are the ones who are creating the natural
imbalance through sucking out her cushion of oll all over the place,
and on top of this causing Big Waves as she attempts to
her the fishes who are really upset because they are eating
your styrofoam.
So that is my morning message to you.
Sorry to be on my high horse, so to speak.
Can you hear me?

BioSmart's Anthony Russo is a sustainability expert who is helping
200 small farming families in Asia through making this
wonderful alternative to styrofoam. Biosmart compost friendly
take out ware are made of sugar cane bagasse,
a byproduct that could be a waste. Through his efforts,
we now have an industry creating a wonderful green solution.
Anthony is Keep the Beet Media Star's lead on her "The End of
Stryofoam" campaign. His pots are the centerpiece of our planting
program with kids, and kids of all ages. We plant the beet seeds
in these pots, and prefer Foxfarm soil as the base.
