My first step
Overview of my first steps to clear cystic acne

So starting from next week I'll be on phase 1 of my clear acne program. I'm following a program called "acne no more" by Mike Walden and one of the first things it recommends I do is check my diet to make sure I'm not ingesting too many toxins.
The theory is that if your body has too many toxins then they can't be filtered out by the liver, kidneys and intestines and so have to be excreted through the skin. This in turn blocks pores and that's what causes acne bacteria to spread and subsequently acne to develop.
Apparently one of the main causes for excess toxin intake is through a bad diet - so over the course of the next few weeks (and starting from next week) I'll be experimenting with my diet to try and find any signs that my system may not like any particular food group.
I really don't know what to expect whilst doing this, but I will certainly keep you updated.
