Howdy! Keep the Beet Media Star here,
the world's first talking beet plant.
The entire plant world shifted the day
I started to speak up and joined forces
with Your Enchanted Gardener Leslie
to create more Enchanted Garden here
on Earth. The Enchanted Garden is
a return to Eden. It grows one seed
and one seed dream at a time.
Space of Lovers know that
the answers to our problems starts in our
own backyard. The Great Earth Cleanup
starts in our closets, and right in the
pots where we grow our beets. Grow a beet
and you will get your beat back with nature!
Leslie spends a lot of time blogging away
and this summer I have had an eye
opener discovering some of the things
that are happening in Washington D.C.
as he writes about them.
I have decided to go to Washington
and start to lobby. I will be going
to visit Michelle Obama's garden
and drop off a few Keep the Beet ideas.
I plan to be appointed the new
Czarina of foods.
On the road, Leslie is my chauffuer.
We drive around in the Enchanted
Garden Mobile, his 68 Love Van, but here
at home, gosh, Leslie spends so much time
on the computer that the other plants
are screaming for attention.
I am glad that we are heading into cooler
weather. Some parts of the world have too much
water, and others, like here in Southern California,
have little water at all.
We all have a lot to learn about water. It is so precious.
Every drop counts. When every it rains, please gather
up your drops. Seeds like to grow in rainwaiter best.
Thanks to all the great messages of my friend
Anastasia of Ringing Cedars, I know we are going to
balance out our climate, but right now we all need
a moment of awakening. Please start small. Go
visit your local organic Joe the Farmer and get a beet
that you get from him. Repot your beet. Keep the beet.
The second year, you will start
to have have a seed collection of your own.
Collecting seeds is very important. Anastasia
knows that seeds start to grow in empathy with each of us.
They provide the balance of minerals that we each need
when we grow our own seeds.
Leslie has been long suffering lately studying
about Food Safety. There are international regulators
called the Codex Alimentarius Commission who are
starting to influence our governments with their ideas
that Food Safety has to do with providing the world with
more GMO seeds so everyone has something to eat,
but as your favorite beet, I want to tell you,
Food Safety starts by growing your own food
and knowing the farmers growing the rest of the food you eat.
It can be discouraging when we see how much work we all
have to do today to clean up our planet, but remember,
I am rooting for you. There is only one beat of nature
and I am counting on you to carry the beat through
being a Beet Keeper.
Everyone really wants our food to be safe, but to turn
our ideas about food safety right side up, plant a beet right now, and I

Dear Keep the Beet. I hear you! It is
important for every body to grow some of our own food
starting with a beet. I also planted some corn. You will not believe
what happened! The corn came up with four ears on each stalk.
It looked like a monster! It wasn't normal! What happened?
Dear CORNDOG:
The whole world now is returning to its senses. We are starting
to grow food. Remember that up until 100 or so years ago,
there was only real food. We now call real food organic. Organic
means it is grown without skipping steps. When you use chemical
fertilizers and GMO seeds, you can really come down with some
ailments that are not even in the medical books.
Please make sure that you only use heirloom seeds that are organic.
It is important that you start a local seed bank.
Regular banking today is in trouble. You can count on the bank
of compost!
A lot of farmers in Mexico are having the same problem that
you described with your monster ears of corn. Those farmers innocently
planted corn seeds that they got from what we thought were our friends
who came to help feed and teach us how to grow more food.
Get together with your neighbors. Start to grow local organic food
and save the seeds. Share your seeds with your neighbors,
and remember, most of all, Mother Earth has a plan for you
and it is stronger and more enchanted than you can imagine.

Leslie has been having a really hard
time making progress with his own
GREAT EARTH CLEANUP here
at the ENCHANTED GARDEN INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY.
This is the main place where I, Keep the Beet
have been growing.
Every last Sunday of the Month,
we have our COME ROOT YOUR DREAM GATHERING.
The September last Sunday of the month gathering
will be held October 4 instead--the first Sunday of
October. That date matches with the Harvest Festival
of Sukkot.

Fragmentation is the rage. We are not
all of one piece.
THE END OF STYROFOAM
I, KEEP THE BEET MEDIA STAR,
AM partering with my friend
ANTHONY RUSSO stop hurting our
oceanlife through the making and
unconscious disposal of styrofoam.
It is time for everybody to GET EARTHSMART.
Earthsmart is made of a byproduct of sugar
cane manufacturing called Bagasse. I want
to make sure that everybody knows that there
are now alternatives to using stryrofoam.
Stryrofoam often ends up in the ocean where
it breaks down into little pieces called nurdles.
The fish and birds eat the nurdle and get
a whopping headache!!! Some ever die from
eating nurdles; They think they are eating food.
I like that ANTHONY is showing the people
in manufacturing how to treat workers kindly,
Making Earthsmart supports the livelihood
of hundreds of small family farmers overseas.
The workers who help to make the sugar cane
eating ware are also treated very kindly and
receive good benefits.
We are going to start with enlisting Kids
in our THE END OF STYROFOAM program
through having them making art on
the pots that ANTHONY gave LESLIE.
We are going to make art objects from
the used plates, etc.
Leslie has been growing little beets
and beet seeds in the styrofoam.
Earthsmart products are not only biodegradable,
they are compostable!!!!!!
We are looking for helpers for the
KICK GAS FESTIVAL at the QUALCOMM
STADIUM, October 24.
Leslie launching his campaign to convert
the EG MOBILE to an electric vehicle.
We are gong to make beautiful art of the
EARTHSMART plates, and also plant
beet seeds.
