We are running out of hot water.
We have a 40 gallon water heater.
it is causing upset.
We have a plumber friend who has been
advising a bit. I left this to Chef Jem.
I want to write him.
I did a little research today.
How big a water heater do we need?
What would the cost be?

I am willing to pursue this and I would like to know whether "the house" is ready to get the replacement possibly in the very near future as indicated by Jim. He specifically said that for him to proceed looking for another tank, etc. we would need to be in a position of making the purchase within a day of his notice. Are we ready to make the purchase?
Thanks!

I have reconnected with Jim the plumber (who was recommended by Kirk the electrician) who came here a couple months ago to look at the solar water situation. He thinks we have a forty gallon tank. He says he saw a 75 gal tank on CraigsList for $150 and thought of us. He said we might as well get a 100 gal tank for not much more than that. He says we need to put our money together and be able to act on the deals within a day when they show up. I asked about what time it would take him to switch tanks and he said he'd have to get back with me about that.
