Special Days: Opening Day
Plan to be at the Fair on Friday, June 12, when we open the gates for the 2009 season! We will have a special Opening Ceremony about 10:30AM featuring the raising of our national flag, the singing of the National Anthem, many entertainers who will amuse and delight you while you wait for the Fair to open, and more surprises. The gates will open at 11:00AM.
If you really want to be the first one at the Fair, then plan to join us for Breakfast in the Gardens on Opening Day. The cost of $30.00 includes Fair admission, a hearty breakfast in the renowned Flower and Garden Show, an interesting talk from featured speaker Eric Larson, the Executive Director of the San Diego County Farm Bureau., and a docent-led tour of the gardens — all before the gates open to the public.
Advance payment and reservations are required.
