Everyone makes mistakes...

Yesterday was good up to the point when I let myself have some organic beer thinking of those fasting monks fasting on home-made beer (honest! searh the internet & c 4 yourselves...). I think it was really temptation finding a new apparently holy excuse to make me fail. But I bought into it. The lighthededness that u get from drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is sometimes truly devine. Anyway I was all floating and happy and unaware that my I was relaxing my vigilance and my resolve in the process. Then my partner came back from work with some excellent food that he picked up from an authentic delicatessen arrived straight from his birth country Italy. What happened next happened fast: I gobbled up half a salame which had the true taste of home-made salame made with wine, meat, salt and nothing else, like the sort of things I will taste at his relatives in the Italian countryside (where they all keep their animals and make their own food from them)....
Next appeared an incredible rash on my face, I'm not joking! Red and bumpy. I grew increasingly thirsty and must have drank 3 litres of water in an hour . I realised I had better have some lettuce to avoid having an unpleasant poo, which I did, lots of raw lettuce before going to bed. I tell you, I had an interesting night! I think it's funny! But seriously, it just shows all the clever ways your mind will try to trick you!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK from now its not complicated: Nothing will enter my mouth that is not pure water or plain herbal tea. And I end the fast on wednesday the 27th of May! I KNOW I can. I must work on isolating myself mentally from what goes on around me.
