As Hollywood Goes Green,
so a whole lot of other folks in America go green.
Such is the way of the entertainment industry.
It weild's a great sword.
It has a great influence.
Some say music is the cutting edge of cultural change.
The Entertainment Industry can do much to raise awareness.
DAVE BARTHMUSS, Group Manager--Western Region--
Environment & Energy Communications, General Motors
knew that. He gave a very inspired talk at
HOLLYWOOD GOES GREEN, the two-day Green Summit
held December 8-9, 08 at the Universal Hilton.
The conference drew leaders of Green Media as well
as Entertainment Industry movers and shakers.
There was a gentle presence, a sense of resolve,
of hopefulness, of peership, and Barthmuss asked
the industry for help to make GM's new Alternative Vehicles
--and the electric car--to be the sexy cars of the future.
It does not take much for Hollywood to do its magic--
just a few extra Earth Friendly Vehicles on the lots,
such a few extra vehicles driving around by Industry
Execs. That is already happening.
Enter PAIGE DONNER, HUFFINGTON POST Blogger.
I like what she writes about. She is writing about
the GREENING OF HOLLYWOOD.

Greening Hollywood Launches EcoPreneur Salon
President-Elect Obama just announced his goal of creating 2.5 million "green" jobs as part of his economic stimulus package. Governor Schwarzenegger is big on entrepreneurs and businesses as a driving force behind "greening" our state on so many levels. Van Jones, fellow HuffPo Blogger and now NY Times best-selling author, is making huge green waves with his Green For All.

Greening Hollywood launched our first-ever EcoPreneur Salon, where environmentally conscious entrepreneurs can gather together to share knowledge and resources with each other on this quest toward "doing well by doing good." To be an EcoPreneur is not rocket science. It's simply infusing environmental practices in the everyday running of your business and, in many instances, capitalizing on a new product or service that is inherently environmental or furthers environmental causes as its built-in feature.

Technology Note:
How do you size a photo in Iphoto on the Imac?
I was looking at the size of the photos that Paige
has on her Huffington Post Blog.
I wanted to size the photos above for her
so she could just capture them.
I could not get the sizes to scale the way
they have on Huffington Post.
Iphoto under crop has various print sizes,
but these only apply if you are printing.
For digital images, I email from Iphoto
to my mail program, in either four choices,
Actual size, large, medium, or small and then
upload to Curezone.
I called Apple Care.
They recommended what I orginally was
doing. Mail the person the largest resolution,
actually size, and let them downsize it and scale
it to what they want.
