Exhausted and Stressed but not caving in...

My last 15 hours.

My beautiful 3 year old American Bulldog went into labor at 2 am. It is now 5:30 pm and I believe we still have one pup left to birth. I am unable to really leave her side, so I have had help in the non eating area, also birth of pups is a great appetite destroyer. She whelped 10 pups so far, with what I believe is an 11th on the way. Only 8 have survived. I feel so sick in the room because of the smell. It is horrific. She has made some beautiful babies.

Update: Its 9:46 pm and mom finally got some rest. Unfortunately, she laid on one of her babies and suffocated it. We performed CPR to no avail. I don't know how long she was dead. It could not have been more than 15 minutes. We just checked on them. I must have counted puppies 100 times today. We never got an 11th pup. So the tally so far, 10 births, 7 live pups. Pray for us.
