pain after gallbladder removed gallbladder removed still in pain i'm 24 nearly 25 and i had my gall bladder removed aug 07 due to lots of pain throughout that year. in the upper right just under my rib, ultrasound confirmed i had gallstones which were only just visable i had 2 move about lots 4 the ultrasound lady just so she could see them. 1st jan o8 i collapsed as i was in so much pain this time with the same thing, pain in the upper right under my rib. since then ive been in hospital 4times this year with the same pain. doctors have done lots of tests, ultrasound, x ray, upper endoscopy, ct scan, mri, urine test which once i had an infection due to dehydration = other than that all have shown nothing, my blood tests a couple of times have come back showing liver abnormality the endoscopy did show a tiny bit of mild irratation but they said that is normal. each time i get the pain im admitted into hospital with blood pressure exmaple 160/140 due to the pain normally my blood pressure is perfect, i have recently undergone a HIDA scan as they now think they may be something wrong with the bile ducts that are left eg, some bits of crap or bits of stone left there or possible the shpinter of the ducts are just not functioning properly, i am still awaiting the results. doctors have had many theroys and i have done quite a bit of research into upper right abdo pain, all of which the doctors have checked eg. hep, gastritus, stuck stone, ulcer, hernia etc... now im awaiting an appointement with a gastroentologist following the HIDA scan to learn of results, which i actually hope does show something as this is driving me mad. i am on daily medication of esomeprazol, buscopan, donperidon, colifac,metroclopramide, cyclyzine, laxative twice a week incase it is a build up of bile, and for pain relife im on oramorph 20mg, zomorph 40mg, diclofenac, paracetamol, 10mg diazapam.i have also tried various codien tablets with these. i hate being on so much medication as i am still so young, the only pain relife that actually helps (just a litte) is when im given IV morphine which instantly takes a tiny bit of the edge of it and allows me to relax momentarily along with IV cyclizine to stop my sickness, if i am sick when im in pain it makes the pain even worse so now i fear being sick. i also have a small child who is almost 4 and i struggle to lift her after an attack and also take comfort in pressing something up against my stomach and pacing backwards and forwards hoping it will subside but for the maajourity i end up rolling on the floor screaming in intense pain trying not to b sick whilst thinking, oh god not again. please plase help me. kind regards sue Add This Entry To Your CureZone Favorites!
