Eclipse of the Sun that happens this Friday
August 1, 2008:
I just got off the phone with Dr. Judith Larkin Reno, Ph.D.
She is the Founder of Gateway University, a mystic,
and the author of a number of books including
ELEPHANTS IN MY TENT and A MYSTICS GUIDE TO WAR.
In her 30 and 40's she was leading groups to sacred sites
around the world. There is a photo of her on a camel

EFFECTS WILL BE LONG LASTING
Up TO 30 MONTHS
A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon that has a longer effect than most New Moons.
This eclipse will last from 43 seconds to about 2 1/2 minutes,
depending on where you are, and so it will have a profound effect on us
for the next 9-30 months. The NASA site lists the "Central Duration"
as 2 min 27 seconds, resulting in an Eclipse Effect time span
of about 30 months maximum.

On August 1, 2008, a total solar eclipse will occur as the new moon moves directly between the sun and the earth. The moon’s umbral shadow will fall on parts of Canada, Greenland, the Arctic Ocean, Russia, Mongolia, and China. The Exploratorium’s eclipse expedition team (our fifth!) will Webcast the eclipse live from the remote Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwestern China near the Mongolian border.

and accepting the Spiraling Upward that many of us are feeling.

The coming Solar Eclipse will have a very significant impact on us all.
Eclipses shut things down, taking away elements of our lives no longer "true" for us.
Leo is the sign of personal love, creativity, self dramatization, and heart-felt pleasures.
Some form of these will be shut down, with the void sure to attract new forms
of expressing this energy. Wherever this eclipse falls in our charts is where
we can expect long term endings, but also relief, transfiguration,

It may be useful to consider mid-July through the first week of August
as a "practicum" to help us deal with whatever Saturn will bring as it traverses Virgo
from August 2008 through August 2009. Pay attention to details, do whatever routine works for you,
and finish up your lessons of Divine Discrimination preparing to move into a new level of Education
in actional ways by late September. Until then practice, adjust, prioritize, polish the order of things,
don't let you mind outrace your life,
