Climate Change International Conference in West Hollywood
July 26, 08 Eden, Sge 9, and Emma Age 11 were all smiles
to spend time with the the Talking Plant who is encouraging
us to grow some of our own food and to strive to shop with
local organic farmers whenever possible. In So Cal, site
of the Conference, this is easy. There are numbers of
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) progams to support
as well as Farmers' Markets.

In an interview with "Go to" Plant Authority KEEP the BEET Media Star,
The Plant Your Dream Blog asked her a number of
questions recently:
PYDB: How did you become so smart?????"
KEEP the BEET: I was raised on good top soil that was filled with natural buglife.
I especially like ladybugs and to see butterflies when I am growing. This gives me
a good feeling. Eating BEETS and other Veggies that grow in Good fertile top soil is
the key to Intelligence.
In my many travels I have also listened in at many conferences and workshops.
I especially enjoyed the recent SOS Climate Change International Conference
in Los Angeles. I have good feelings about Supreme Master Ching Hai and her
noble work to help all the Vegetables of the world. The Conference theme
was 'Go Veg! Go Green! Save the Planet!"
When Your EG brought me to the SOS Climate Change International Conference,
I was immediately seen for who I was, a Creation of Nobility. I was given
Table Space as part of the ECO-Exhibit. I sat next to my good friend
Dr. Gabriel Cousens Tree of LIfe Rejuvenation materials. I enjoyed all the
attention. I had a great talk with some of the kids at the conference.
I really like to talk to kids because they have not lost their ability to
talk to plants.
PYDB: Who grew you?
KEEP the BEET: That is an esoteric question.
Where do I begin?
Let me answer in a simple way. I was grown in the field of J.R. Organics
by Joe the Farmer. Joe is a fourth generation farmer who grows food in
Escondido, California. I could feel the loving touch of Joe and the other farm hands.
That by the way is how I became Bi-Lingual but that is another story.
PYDB: How to do recommend that we Keep UpBEET during these times
of earthquakes and earth changes???
KEEP the BEET: One of the simple things to do is eat more Veggies.
When you feel anxious or depressed, chew your food at least 30 times
a mouthful.
PYDB: Got to Run!
KEEP the BEET: Catch you later, Your EG!
BIO NOTE: KEEP the BEET Media Star began life as a growing beet
at Rodriguez Ranch, Escondido, California, the home of JR Organics
(Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).
Joe the Farmer, AKA Joe Rodriguez Jr., is a fourth generation Southern California
farmer. KEEP the BEET Media Star was one of many beets laying
next to other beets, carrots, and other fine foods one morning in February
'08 when she caught the attention of Your Enchanted Gardener, Leslie
who has learned over the years how to speak the Language of Plants.
KEEP the BEET volunteered to become the Poster Beet for the Enchanted
Garden. The Enchanted Garden is a name for the New Earth
we can grow beginning in our own backyard
one Seed and Seed Dream at a time.
KEEP the BEET enjoys fellowship with other Beets and people.
She enjoys growing in the same pot with Beets grown by other San Diego
Local Organic Farmers, including Phil Noble of Sage Mountain Farms and Inland Empire CSA,
and Barry Logan of La Milpa Organica Farm.
She enjoys hanging out with other beets, growing people, and other plants
at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community in San Diego. On occasion
she travels. Her sister KEEP the BEET Conscious Goods Alliance Bus is her
most traveled sister. KEEP the BEET Conscious Goods Alliance Bus went
on tour beginning at the San Diego Earth Fair in April and has been visiting
Whole Food Markets across the country.
She has a number of other sister KEEP the BEET who are also growing
in the hands of other Enchanted Garden Club Members around the US.
KEEP the BEET has a proposal in to Your Enchanted Gardener to be
included as one of the Plant Experts for giving Plant advice.
Plant Experts will be included
in the forthcoming ULTIMATE PLANT LOVER book that Your EG will
be putting together. The book is being written
for Health Communications, Inc (HCI).

CSA to SUPPORT in THE LA AREA:
RECOMMEND FARMER TO SUPPORT:
Due to cutbacks of water in California Joe Rodriguez Jr and numbers of other
farmers are growing less food. Right now, about 20% of food grown is still going
unsold at a time when every Unit of Food Sold Counts to keep our local farmers
saying "Happiness is Organic!"
Please organize your friends and neigbors to join
the JR Organics CSA. You can support the family by purchasing
your in advance through a food subscriiption. Food is then grown for you.
Boxes can be picked up at the Farmers' Market.
Growing food in Escondido, CA, the Rodriguez family journeys
up to the West L.A and Mar Vista area each weekend.
