Keep the Beet Interviewed on the Green Carpet
Keep the Beet makes it to Hollywood's Green Carpet.
This is her message to the Climate Change Community
Worldwide and her new friends in Hollywood, CA.

Scott interviewed Keep the Beet at the SOS International Climate Change Conference
at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles July 26, 2008. Supreme Master created
a smooth running event with volunteers from around the world. It was an auspicious
day. Much was done to help our planet heal through our gathering.

Keep the Beet made it to the Green Carpet
Saturday.
The Green Carpet is the place where
the Celebrities in Hollywood stand to get
interviewed by the Media.
Keep the Beet Media Star had a lot to say:
"One Person + One Pot=A Nation of Gardener's."
In the case of the SOS International Climate Change Conference,
It is "One Person + One Pot= A World of Gardeners."
The message is clear from Keep the Beet:
"Now is the time to return to growing a little
bit of our own food."
This is what she is asking:
"Be intimate with the person growing your food.
Grow some of your own. Be on a first name basis with the farmers
growing the rest of your food.
Make friends with a local organic farmer at your nearest Farmers' Market.
Whenever possible join a CSA. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture."
She continued:
"Our local organic farmers here in So Cal where I live,
are facing an imposed water cutback. The local farmers are growing
less food. About 20% of this therapeutic quality food is going to waste.
When you join a CSA, you take out a subscriiption with a local farmer.
You pay in advance. The local organic farmer can wake up in the morning
and feel your support. He can say, 'Happiness is Organic!' He is growing
food for you!"
Keep the Beet Sez:
"If you live in an area where there are no local organic farmers,
inspire yourself and your neigbors to grow some of your own food.
Keep the Beet. One Pot, that is all I am asking!
If you live in an area where there are no farmers' markets, get the finest organic beet
you can find from your local Food Coop or Whole Foods Market.
Keep the Beet recommends Foxfarm potting soil
and Whole Foods Market Potting soil. The Whole Foods Potting soil
can be supplemented with an organic fertilizer.
Plant your very own Keep the Beet in your very own pot.
Keep the Beet will grow for you! Give me the best water you can find.
Remember to drink water when you water me! Keep me in the sunshine.
Come out every day and give me some water. Stand in the sunshine with me
every day! Meditate on my soil. Reflect that we each grow from good soil
because the Earth and the Soul are Soilmates," sez Supreme Plant Master
Keep the Beet.
"And remember," She sez, "There is only One Beet!"
Leslie Goldman, Your Enchanted Gardener,
was motivated to Keep the Beet one day while shopping at the Hillcrest
Farmers' Market in San Diego.
"I realized that the beet was talking to me! She said,
"Keep the Beet. Eat the Beet Greens. It is time for a moment of awakening
so everyone knows to support our local organic Farmers!"
Keep the Beet Numbero Uno was grown by Joe Rodriguez Jr
and his Noble Farm workers in Northern Escondido CA
at the Rodriguez Ranch,
Joe is a fourth Generation Farmer in So Cal. He is the subject
of the children's book, THE COMEBACK OF JOE THE FARMER.
Joe is one of the plant experts in the forthcoming book
THE ULTIMATE PLANT LOVER that is being assembled now
by Leslie for Health Communications Inc (HCI)

THESE ARE OUR AIMS
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
