Social while Fasting
I find being social while fasting a huge challenge.

But my job is another story; while others can hide in their cubicles I am asked on a regular bases to be social and taste coffee and tea. Twenty percent of my job is sitting around tasting various teas and different timed extracted coffee. I love this part of my job but it doesn't help when I am fasting.
The last week of July I will be faced with sales and other people nationwide tasting coffee and teas. No doubt I will be offered a few drinks and be asked what I taste. It is going to be hard to keep fasting or know what to say or do during this time.
I just finished a 4 1/2 day fast yesterday, Saturday, July 12, 2008. Tomorrow, Monday, July 14, 2008 I plan to fast for 60 days on nothing but water. It always seems possible except for the social aspect. What would my boss think if I didn't accept his daily offering of espresso? The last four days I was only faced with him asking once if I like an espresso (he was out of the office most of the week). I of course shared the excitement but was quickly eager to throw it out the cup of espresso when he was not looking. He seem disappointment in my rush to get back to my paperwork. The best part of the day is standing around talking about a cup of coffee. >_<
I think my biggest fear during this fast will be coming off as adopting an eating disorder or a complete a**ho**. When really all I want to get out of fasting is a new slate. I hope fasting will waken me.
Anyone has pearls of wisdom?
