I love the farm contests.
We won two Second Place Ribbons last year,
one for blackberries/nectarine display. I also entered Joe Rodriguez Jr. Strawberries.

Enviro Fair

Enviro Fair will be Saturday, July 5 in the Paul Ecke Jr. Flower and Garden Show (Map location: F3). We invite you to learn more about the importance of recycling, sustainable living, pollution prevention, conservation, and buying recycled content and environmentally friendly products.
Among the attractions will be:
Exhibitors with environmentally friendly products
Eco-Fashion Show with great-looking clothes made from easily renewable fibers such as bamboo
Non-profit organizations helping us learn new ways to take better care of our world

Sara Snow, star of "Living Fresh" and "Get Fresh with Sara Snow" on the Discovery Channel, will be our special guest speaker. Sara was born into a family that has always been environmentally conscious, so for her, a solar-energy-powered home and organic food was just the normal way of life in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
After graduating from Butler University with a degree in theater performance and another in telecommunications, she planned a career in television news. Or sports.
But after a few years in the hectic world of television news, she was ready to get back to the simpler life she lived as a child. In 2005, she created the concept for a lifestyle TV series about the things she learned growing up — eating organics, composting, recycling, natural cleaning and more. She signed with Discovery Communications, and the rest is, as they say, history.
