Day 18 (Mother's Day) started with my youngest daughter waking up with a rash all over her face, neck and hands. Her face and one eye was swollen almost closed. My husband took her to the emergency room. She has very bad posion ivy. This is a major stress trigger for me. I was able to handle the fast through out the day, but then my husband made chicken piccata for dinner. I left the room and trued very hard, but was unable to. So I had dinner. Not the best way to break a fast. Afterwards I was disappointed in myself. But then after thinking about it, I realized that I got a lot of out this fast. I lost over 20 pounds, I proved to myself that I do have self-control and discipline. I am in control of what I eat.
