Day 1 thru 9
Day 1 thru 9
Date: 5/3/2008 9:48:53 AM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 1916 times I currently am at day 10, but I wanted to breakdown what I experienced inthe beginning of my fast. Day 1 was mentally difficult. I was always thinking about food. I was so surprised by how many times I would go to the kitchen without any thought, to get something to eat. I really make me wonder how much food I was eating with out being aware of it. Day 2,3 &4 were hard because of the headaches and the stomach growling. But I stuck to it, drinking my juices and fasting tea. Day 5,6, &7 were very. very hard. I was hungry all day long. My stomach was growling constantly. Luckily, it was the weekend and my husband was home. I was able to veg out in front of the TV watching movies. My husband made the juices and I stuck to it. Day 8 and 9 were much easier. I had periods of energy and clarity of mind. I felt better than I had in years. On Day 9, I was able to go shopping at Costco, by myself, and not touch any of the 10 samples they were offering. I was very proud of myself. It was a big accomplishment. You have to understand, I have spend the last almost 20 years, eating whatever I wanted. Never making any sacrifice when it came to food. Food has always been in control of me, not the other way around. But now, for the first time, I was in control. God has given me the strength to fight this addiction.
I have also been doing and enema once a day since day 4. I was very much against doing this, but had read and was told, that it makes a big different in how you feel. And it does. Amazingly so. I will be continuing with a daily enema.
