"We cannot break the Natural Laws.
We break ourselves on the Law."
--Dr. Bernard Jensen (1908-2001)
Celebrating his Centennial Year 2008
Town and Country Convention Center
June 6,7,8.
This June 6,7,8 I would like to see 400 of us
come together to honor Dr. Bernard Jensen.
He was locally grown and organic, for many years
from San Diego.
He welcomed people out to Nature to refind their nature.
The Nature he honored deserves to be Capitalized.
He was part of the Health Sanitarium Tradition,
a tradition that calls out to be restored and can
be restored in San Diego County where we
have many sunny days a year.
Some people came to Dr. Bernard Jensen as a last resort.
They had broken many natural laws. They did not
know it.
The remnants of his Hidden Valley Health Ranch,
the Last Resort they found, still exists today
as Hidden Valley Spa in the back country of Escondido.
The old oaks, many of them, still remain.
The rocks, very large and smooth, warm in summer,
still remain and welcome the weight of a naked back.
Dr. Jensen knew how to Keep the Beet.
He knew the power in a beet. He knew what organs
benefited from eating a beet. He knew how to
Keep the Beat with the Rhythm of Life
as reflected in Whole, Pure, and Natural Foods.
Among his gifts, he understood how to see
into the state of organ health through peering
into the Iris. This is nothing new. For more than
8000 years, healers have been doing that art
that is now called Iridology. For Jensen,
there was only one Health Care. It is Natural Health Care.
Many of us today are broken, more broken
than some of the people who came to his
Last Resort and went away with a new Lifestyle
that was more integrated in Body, Mind, and Soul.
We can still recover, as we personally
"Real Eyes" we cannot Beat the System,
as we realize, we are here to Keep the "Beet."
Many of us have brought into systems that have been
attempting to Beat the System. There is
a Natural Order that is Divine in Nature and cannot
be beat.
Some of us, will still be alive 50 years from now.
Those who are will see a world of Autos that no longer
run on Petroleum. The Availability of Oil will have Peeked.
Oil will no longer be used us help us Beet the System.
Look at the price of oil today. $4.15 a gallon. One day
soon, we will call this cheap.
Throughout the eons, many of us have been attempting
to Beat the system, to drive at more than 65 MPH through it.
The system is by Nature Labor Intensive.
It requires expert communication tools and the willingness
to spend time learning how to live together.
Most of us do not attempt to live together in Community.
We live behind locked doors. We imagine keys can keep us safe.
Only learning to live together can keep us safe. Only
learning to grow food today is an option if we want to
get on the map where nature is guiding us.
I would like to see each person in this country
have the opportunity to do their part to clean up the Weeds
in their own life and restore the Pathways. There is something
very real about cleaning up our own Weeds inside and clearing
pathways to restore a garden. There is something to be
learned from decluttering, and giving ourselves time to
live in a garden environment.
There are fewer places now where we can do this.
In my backyard, here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community,
a 1/3 acre within walking distance of San Diego State University,
There are signs of major messes and neglect. This is natural
considering that most of us have little time to say hello to ourselves
except in passing.
On this land, there are also signs of life that can be seen in plants and flowers
that draw hummingbirds.
There was a time, not more than 125 years ago when few of us
knew anything but organically grown food. Food by nature is
organically grown, and fresh food, the kind that Dr. Bernard Jensen
used to bring himself and others back to life, was locally grown.
There is not a person reading these words who is not capable
of growing at least some food and calling themselves a gardener.
This is what I recommend:
Take one Beet. Put it in a Pot. Give it the finest potting soil
you can find. Water your beet. Give it sunshine. Give it air.
Give it water, the best you can find. The beet will grow beet
greens.
Eat the Beet Greens. Keep the beet.
Learn the natural laws through
tending a beet. What you give to your beet, give to yourself:
the best water you can find, some sunshine, some good soil
to go barefoot. This is called Plant Parenthood.
Need Instruction?
Give a Call. Need a room to rent where you can
do some weeding of yourself in a garden environment?
Give a Call. Want to sit next to me at Dr. Bernard Jensen's
three day birthday celebration, June 6,7,8 at the Town and Country
Convention Center? Be in touch.
