Nightmarish early morning hours!
Use some early morning Chi to work
out Local Vendor Ideas for April 5 at Whole Foods Market.
That event is the Saturday after this!

Not very much time.

The Natural Product Expo West was my entry into Spring
and Wake Up call to come out of Winter.

Last Weekend--was a shocking Wake Up Call for how
Deep the need to Re-establish the Nature Teachings of
Dr. Bernard Jensen. I can hardly speak to what I saw.
I came away feeling we are a Lost Generation, that
has much to remember from Dr. Jensen about remember
how to live on the Earth.

The Week has been about meticulously preparing to Receive
funds to do Spring and other season projects...
and grounding out where my energies will be focused.

Focus? How much can one person do?

Stewarding this 1/3 acre as a manager would be a full time job
for most people. I am not geared up for this as a full time job.
I do my best to respond to the notes on the board where people
make known needs around the house. Last night, I called out
for Rainbow, our plumber/handiman. Paris innocently broke
a window in the dining room ten days ago. It still needs to be fixed.

having Chef Jem here is an Eye Opener.
He, Paris, and I all aspire to live in an Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.

Yesterday, in the middle of celebrating two small acheivements,
Sanda called in. Sanda is my co-partner here. She is the primary
land owner. She lives elsewhere.

I said I would call back. I have deep stress around the kind of
negotiations that are necessary to ensure the next organic steps for keeping
this household going. Refinancing or purchase by me is being asked for.
Purchase, I can only imagine, with the house being a non-profit, and being
so Together in Our Intentions that we are a Focus for Inspiring others to
contribute funds here.

Sanda and I are similar in many respects. She is a jewel of a human being.
We both do too much, and have more ideas that we have time for.
That breeds physical mess. I am awestruck by the mess in my spaces.
I can hardly look around now to see what is the result of my inattentiveness
to what is in front of my face.

Yesterday's breakthrough was a massive stress reliever.

I have built designs for the Spring Projects around my relationship
with the Rhimax friends. They were out of touch. The labels on the
Portable Mini Enchanted Garden are all on Rhimax 8 1/2 by 11 sheets.
The other designs in the can for the World Peace Starter Kit were created
for Rhimax chemical free organic durable recycled paper.

I have been sending emails and making phone calls.

Finally, a positive email response came in yesterday while I was
on the phone with Twin Soul/Best Friend.

My other breakthrough yesterday was with Andy Mitchell,
the sales Manager for Pet Promise. Pet Promise is a socially
responsible Heart and Soul company. If you care about how animals
are raised and companion pets fed, this is a company to support.
I signed up yesterday to be part of the Pet Promise Family here:

Anthony Zolezzi, in his book HOW DOG FOOD SAVED THE EARTH
tells a fictional story of the creators of Pet Promise. The characters
in the book and in real life are out to save Family Farmers. The book
is inspired by Anthony's Strawberry conversion. The story is told on this
site extensively.

I was already involved with strawberry grower Joe the Farmer,
AKA Joe Rodriguez Jr, BEFORE I met Anthony. We were all destined to meet.

THE COMEBACK OF JOE THE FARMER:

The Backdrop for all my work in the world is where I sit.
I sit here on this 1/3 acre of a jewel of land at the edge of a canyon.
I can hear the sound of birds at a distance. If I go outsdie this morning
I sit around the orange tree in full blossom, I will likely have a morning
checkin from Mother Hummingbird or one of the two Offspring.
During Winter, Mother Hummingbird felt safe enough to make a nest
on a low branch. I could get within three inches with my Macro lens.

I can go out right now and count blueberries coming in, and blackberries.

All this is within walking distance of a 35,000 student University called
San Diego State University and Fraternity and Sorority Sisters households.
The students there are at an age when the too have left the nest.
They are likely exploring the birds and the bees, but how many of them
have watched a hummingbird being grow from egg to flight?

This is a perfect locale for a place where the Students of Life
can get a glimpse

Is that something worth saving?
Am I too old for this, or too young for this?
is the world too old to live in community, or too young?

I sense that between now and 2012 more of us are going to be
exploring what I have been exploring here for since 1982.

It is not that easy living with other people, the world knows that.

One of my brightest hopes for this New Year was Frank,
a delightful youth in the Navy, who began writing me last year
deeply earning for a place to garden. He moved in.
Before we ever got grounded, My President started a Surge
in Irag. I have hardly seen Frank in months.
It felt like quite a loss.

On Easter Sunday, Old Friends bearing Gifts showed up
in the face of Chef Jem,

I started to work with
REBIRTH THE EARTH: Simple Things You Can Do Now!

i realized in light of what this Spring is asking,
that there are 12 principles but down directly addressing
living in Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.

In some sense, we are living in another kind of world,
where Real Estate Value is more important that making sure
that there are Local organic farmers within driving distance,
or Farmers' Markets where people brush by near shoulder to shoulder
on a Sunday.

What would be creating of a fulfilled Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
be about?

13. Strive to live in an Enchanted Garden Intentional Community,
a community that begins at home and in your own backyard between you and others,
you and neighbors, you and possum, and hummingbirds, and plants,
and space to garden. Plant stewardship. Come and practice with other
soilmates.
