Whether or not you know it or believe it, you are on a Spiritual Journey every day. From my perspective, it is better to accept the notion that you are here for a specific spiritual purpose, and with this personal understanding you may begin to open your mind to all the spiritual influences that hover around you every minute of every day. Being perceptive of advancing yourself in harmony to the highest form of physical life in this world and the spiritual dimensions (from which you came), you will find a proper balance to enjoy this physical life to its fullest in peace and in prosperity. No longer would worry, fear, jealousy or meanness be with you. You will grow in the greatness of tolerance and respect for others who may not believe as you believe. To become child-like (but not naive) and to play at life and your life’s work is a path to enlightenment. A mind full of wonder is usually uncluttered with worry of losing possessions, schemes to advancement, and false pride or self importance.
Life is full of struggles, with a few wonderful times sprinkled along the way. Give yourself permission to enjoy life to the fullest. And when circumstances arise which seem difficult, be patient and remain calm. You will find a preferred path to avoid the undesired behaviour you are experiencing. Remember each soul has a purpose for living in this life. Finding your purpose (which may change from time to time) requires some looking and experimenting in life. Regrets can be avoided in the future by looking to live your life in the present.
Do not worry about changing the world. Your world is only as far as you can reach or see. The ordinary person judges the world through his or her own lifestyle, values and personal beliefs, which veil the perception of truth. To change the world we need only to change our perception of it, and in order to change this perception, we must first change the opinion that we hold in our minds. And as we change within ourselves, the world changes.
The invisible force that points that compass needle of life to help you find your inner way is called enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is a potent medicine, a powerful motivator and a source for all achievement. No matter what you do, or where you go, if you keep your enthusiasm, you are likely on the right track. When it begins to fade or is lost, it becomes time to make changes immediately to capture it back. Enthusiasm leads the way to success and prosperity. It tramples worry and indecision into the ground. Fear and want flee from it; impatience and uncertainty are dissolved by its radiance. To be enthusiastic is to have power and to be in love. And to be in love with the world is to be in harmony with God Almighty.

Ask Douglas

Question: I recently came across your book, Secrets of Life, which I read with great interest. There was a certain paragraph that caught my attention and I would like to ask you about it. "If there is a desire to develop your intuition, it is not a matter of learning it, but a matter of recalling it... Your intuition, therefore, would become more accurate." I realize for a very long time, that I have a higher (in relation to other people I know) degree of "gut feeling," "telepathy," and similar. My question to you is, how can I, practically-speaking, develop this intuitive instinct, and how can I get to help people with it?

Answer: The guidance you discovered in Secrets of Life (page 112) is good advice to open the Spiritual abilities you have (and are discovering) within. Indeed telepathy is an early indicator of several Spiritual gifts. The key is not to stop and think this is all there is. Practically speaking, this means you should develop through meditation techniques, for even telepathy requires a light state of meditation. I have several meditation techniques on CD that are designed to help perceive clairvoyantly. Meditation leads to a knowing more then a feeling. Telepathy can be misunderstood or inaccurate as it requires 2 minds to be in a favourable state of mind or calm. But even then it's like listening to someone's conversation with the radio on, and you can hear clearly in part, but may miss the full meaning. Telepathy is a demonstration of your real ability, but in order to help people perceive through the intuition, much more training is necessary. Doing so will allow you to move your mind through time, to see the past and to perceive the possible future. Telepathy can be used to help people in certain areas like: perceiving if a person will call and how they will feel when they call (angry or happy). If someone is going to get a promotion, or if someone in the family is in a predicament. A telepathic mind can discern what is happening to a person and report to the concerned relative what they may be thinking, or where they are, or if they are safe. Another possibility of helping would be to locate in the mind of a person where they left that lost item, or what their pet is thinking if lost or in pain. But, the best is to open your mind to the greater awareness of clairvoyance, and to seek to explore the spiritual records; to touch upon the higher spiritual realms; to determine what your soul mind is capable of. Paying attention to your telepathic ability is a good place to start, for it shows you are on the path. Seeing auras and interpreting dreams are also indicators of a person’s spiritual advancement. You have a way to go to developing dream interpretation, premonition, precognition, predictions or even prophecy. Meditation is the path and it is taken one step at a time.
