a stand of Peppermint Scented Geranium
calls out to me.

There is a stand
of one of my favorite aromatic herbs
along the path on the East Side
of the Natural History Museum.
It is Peppermint Scented Geranium
from South Africa.
I sense that many offspring from this
particular herb came originally
from the Taylor's Herb Garden
in Vista California.
That herb garden was once written
up in Natitional Geographic Museum.
There was a photo from a Helicopter.
Peppermint Scented Geraniums
were one of the herbs they grew
and disseminated.
Kent Taylor was an
Enchanted Garden Sponsor during the 80's.
Southern Cal, especially the L.A. area
is filled with kin from Baby Herbs
from the Taylor Herb Garden.
I would drive in to the Herb Garden
and fill the an earlier version of
the EG Mobile with two or three trays.
Kent was very generous. His spirituality
was based on speading the Good Word
of Plant Parenthood.
I was the Closing Ceremonialist orchestrator
for the Whole Life Expos during the 80's,
as well as other Body, Mind, Spirit Festivals.
These were shows that helped inspire and motivate
the the growth of the New Age Movement in our
Bio Region. Where the 2000's have their BLEEPS, SECRET's
and now the incoming MOSES CODE,
in those days, tons of Consciousness Reps
would gather to give workshops and lectures
at these Expos and Festivals.
My role was to do the free Closing Ceremonies
that had no pricetag.
I worked with noted Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach
is some of these Closing Ceremonies. There were
numbers of singers and Sound Healers, including
Stephen Longfellow Fiske, my co-partner in numbers
of these inspired events.
I always brought the trays of baby herbs.
The herbs drew in the Closing Ceremony energy.
Then, the energy of the event piggypacked on the
herbs, as little Fairies do.
The herbs carried the Spirit and Essence of consciousness
down from these Peak Spiritual Experiences into daily
gardens.
Paul Andrews, the owner of the Whole Life Expo,
fondly remembered a plant I gave him. For years,
every time he would see me, he made a point of
telling me that he thought of me every time he watered
his plant stand that was now about ten feet long!
Those years are gone. On occasion I put on
my Closing Ceremonialist Hat.
Last Sunday, the final day of the
Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit at the
San Diego Natural History Museum, was one of those days.
The exhibit--a world class exhibit of Dead Sea Scrolls
from Israel and Jordan--two countries that seldom
cooperate about anything, and Sacred Documents from
Russia were among the Holy Objects on display.
There had been an amazing Opening back in July.
It featured a Camel live at the Museum among other
dignitaries from foreign lands.
I was not there. The footage is on the Web.
During those months, I was deeply involved
in what I call the Great Earth Cleanup here
at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.
We were spending the summer digging,
digging into the Herculean task of clearing
our Foundation--literally the basement.
I knew this world class exhibit was on my agenda
for the year. I was saving it for the Holidays.
During that time of year, I am overshadowed by
my Essene Ministry.
