Pre-Fasting
This is the account of my 28 day fast. I've done juice and water fastings before, for roughly about 7-8 days, but this time I'm ready to make a complete lifestyle change, and I think a long term fast is nessecary to do that. Hopefully I learn even more about myself with this fast, and learn how to fight my cravings.

I've done juice and water fastings before, for roughly about 7-8 days, but this time I'm ready to make a complete lifestyle change, and I think a long term fast is nessecary to do that. Hopefully I learn even more about myself with this fast, and learn how to fight my cravings. Coming from a family with a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity (and being a chubby woman myself) I KNOW that I have to make a change NOW, while I'm still young and my body is still resiliant. This will mainly be a water and herbal tea fast, but I am going to keep some 100% juice handy, since in my experience it helps ALOT when you get those fasting hunger pains. I'll be implementing walking (with some light jogging), and stretching with this fast. I also plan on learning yoga during this fast (YAY!)
Any excourangement and advice is appreciated. I plan on exercising during this fast, but carefully (ie. either minimal or no exercising on days 3-5, since that will be the point of ketosis.) Comments are WELCOMED and ENCOURAGED.
Goals of this fast: to detox my body, to learn more about myself and start healthly nurtition habits, and hopefully lose weight (28=roughly 28lbs)
Pre Fast Stats:
Sex: Female
Height: 67inches
Weight: 200lbs
BMI: 30.8
Problems: I crave sugar, constantly. I eat when I'm bored. I'm a mood-eater as well. I do not drink enough water, and I don't exercise enough. I need to eat more fiber!
Hopefully I'll be around 175 lbs by the end of this fast....at least 180.
If at the end of 28 days I feel or think I can go longer, I might push it to 30-32 days. But definately no longer than that (since hair loss starts around 50 days!)
Wish me Luck!!
