I went out to do something sacred the other day,
take photos of butterflies.
I learned you cannot chase them.
I took off my shoes, I found a shady spot.
I learned up against a tree.
I prepared by imagining in my head
the focal length to get a godly image
of a butterfly in focus.
I used my Technology Wisely,
through years of experience
I was prepared.
The Monarch catepillars were easier
to find. They blend in with the food chain.
You have to look closely to see them,
they are so one with it.
The Butterflies were at the end of their season.
They do not like overcast days.
This day was perfect for Butterflies.
At first I could not see them.
I needed a good guide,
my teacher friend Ellen who
eminated the kind of motherliness
that comes from teaching and tending
young kids all day, kids that are at an
age where they are filled with wonder,
who will stand in line for you on the way
to the eating place, who are still
at a time in their lives when they can
be mystified by butterflies all over
the school.
Flocks of them were disappointed
that during break time they could not
be in the buttefly garden.
Ellen and I were hoping they would land
and too much kid area might interfere
with their mating dance and the way
they land and eat in silence.
The Sacred Ground has been desperately lost
when it can be regained today.
I am speaking from personal experience.
The tasks at hand are endless.
There is no beginning or end
to the potential Chaos that comes
form buying into a world of Computers
that can betray us in an instant.
An Instant.
That is all it takes for the question mark
to come up and thousands of hours of
seeming security to feel lost.
Computer Tech. What a Blessing to
Bless you now through it by sharing
the that we are part of 1Infiniteloop,
and yet it is mercy less.
I know from personal exprience,
hours spend stunned,
hours spent yesterday
grasping out for lists of names
that once upon a time
in a land of false security
where I could reach out to
1000 names with in the click of
an instant.
And so in the late gentleness
of afternoon mellow garden colors
and sunlight, I find myself sitting
with Angelene here in the Enchanted Garden.
She tells me that Spirit is telling her
to cleaning up, clean up this and that
and this and that. Clean up as much as
possible.
She reminds me to get up from this False
Security of the Computer, where Kids sit
down at the Apple Store on banks of Imacs
like this one, little kids, go bigger than
the four foot apple Tree down by the weed
patch that once grew barley.
The ring of rocks around the weeds
are still feelable, through not fully visible.
I may not be strong enough to dig into
the three foot hight weed roots, but
I can certainly give them a haircut
with my trusted yellow pruner.
The tasks are endless.
There will be no end to what we
are called upon to attempt to do.
The problems and time asks by the
buy in to Virtual Reality make me
question if we can truly be on the
Web and still be part of the Web of Life.
Their is no answer for now.
Only time and space to commit
to weeding.
