"20 years ago at my acupuncture conferences, there was nothing like this lovely aromatic love and spirit filled booth. Thank you for this peaceful remembrance of our interconnectedness."-- Katie Mink, L.Ac, owner, director Bancroft Center of Chines Medicine, Berkeley "I am sure most of you have noticed the beautiful altar and the abundance of herbs and vegetables that we had set up by the registration table. The person responsible for that is Leslie Goldman, he's our Conference Enchanted Gardener. Each year he brings that beautiful display that sets a wonderful tone to our conference. Leslie has a brief ceremony about planting our herbs, and bringing Chinese Medicine to even greater fruition in this country." --Jack Miller, President Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. 10:27 AM July 30. 2007 Today is July 30. On August 1, I will turn in the Inside front Cover for the Speakers Program for the Pacific Symposium. I have today and tomorrow to create this. I woke up with more nightmares this morning. There was a series of them. In the first, I lost something had happened to the EG Mobile. Rabbi Stan Levy, who I will see on the High Holidays in about five weeks, helped me out. There was some element of something lost. Rabbi Stan was very generous. He took the EG Mobile across the street and was very pleased to do some minor improv ...   read more

Enchanted Garden FIrst Installation   17 y
One of the Birth places for the Holistic Health Movement was San Diego. One of the Conferences where the seed grew up was called the Mandala Conference. That was where the first Enchanted Garden Installation was held. These are old writings from the Mandala Conference 1984.

July 29, 2007 5:20 PM This morning, while decuttering, I started to go through a notebook of writings from the early 80’s. I was able to throw out most of them without two much time taken, but when I came upon a few of the flyers from the first Enchanted Garden Installation at the Mandala Conference, a birthplace for the Holistic Health Movement, I took my laptop out back and started to type... These are some of the oriiginal invites to the Enchanted garden. Since there have been many installations. Over the years, they get more and more refined and become the Alt ...   read more

Gifts for Declutter. Found some Peace in the midst of chaos and clutter.

11:28 AM July 29, 07 The notebook on the Blue Shelf I pulled out last night had dust mites. I had to keep washing my hands. The gloves will arrive next Friday and some overalls. I am feeling at Peace about what I did this morning. I want to Blog it before heading to the FM for my week’s food. This notebook I opened had Invites and PR from Early Enchanted Garden Installations. It had the materials from the original Enchanted Garden that was at the Town & Country Convention center in 1984. 8:02 AM July 29, 07 I have participated in the Whole Being Weekend for many years, more than 25. For years it was held twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall. I have worked through lots of new projects up there. It is a very supportive environment. It was started by Jim Nessheim. Those were wonderful times for expressing leadership. I was the Saturday night main speaker for many years. Then Rob took over when Jim did not want the weekend anymore. Jim shows up most of the time for an evening. Murdering Life   17 y
Yesterday, I spent the day in Basement Cleanup. I consciously decided not to go out to the Farmers' Market. Here are some of my insights.

7:16 AM July 28, 2007 ___ I finished my Sales Tax Report Thursday, four days worth of going through the bill and letter drawer, downloading/Uploading tedious Paypals into Quicken, looking at Financial Info Notebooks with tons of dead outdated material. I resolved, as usual, to improve my systems. I came away with Hope that I was seeing the Errors of My Ways and Necesary Organizational Steps that could lead to taking on Non Profit Status. In Truth I have said this before, but maybe my systems have improved, and now is the time, to go further. Meanwhile Anna and Scot ...   read more

Looking for Eric Love. Old Friend.

3:35 PM July 28, 07 Still in the basement. Taking a break. More breaks today than work. Eric Love? Ran across his flyer. Old friend from the 80’s. Looked him up to see if he is still around. Eric Love, Ph.D., who has practiced both massage therapy and Bach flower-essence consultations for 34 years, believes that the two therapies should always be used hand-in-hand. ”I would never, never, never give massage without Bach [flower essences],” he says. ”With massage you don’t want to just treat ’something,’ you want to treat the whole person - the emotions, the spirit. When I put the book in stores, I have to give them a 50% discount. That leaves me with a couple dollar profit on each one. I’ll never be able to retire that way. Clutter and Debt   17 y
Clutter represents stuff that isn't valued. How much can I really care about items that have found their way to the bottom of my closet or a box in the basement? My goal is to have less but to really care for and value what I have.

http://thefamilyceo.blogspot.com/2006/08/relationship-between-clutter-and-deb... The Relationship Between Clutter and Debt I have long thought that there is a relationship between clutter and debt. Well, maybe not debt necessarily, but certainly money. This week, with the kids back in school, I’ve been doing a lot of decluttering and it has me thinking about this topic more. First there’s the obvious: most clutter consists of items purchased. And that costs money. While some things come into our lives for free, many are things that at one time we wanted or thought we needed and ...   read more

"Overeating" too many things   17 y
This is from a thoughtful summon I found. The inspiration was Jeanne Child's and her work on "Fragmentation." "Fragmentation" says Childs is sourced by Gluttony. Gluttony appears to be happen when when we lose our Soul. Read on and comment.

1:24 PM July 28, 07 A Matter of Good Taste Reflections on Gluttony Sunday morning message, February 28, 1999 The Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva Illinois ”I am not saying that enjoying the material goods of the world is evil -- I didn. t say that in relationship to greed, and I. m not saying or implying it now. And the balance, the healing for Gluttony isn. t radically different for the balance and healing needed to overcome Greed. Fragmentation   17 y
Jeanne Childs hits a bulls eye in her defining work on Fragmentation.

”We become disconnected from our Souls.” from the audio cassette ”Fragmentation” by Jeanne Childs This is a profound tape. I am listening while decluttering. Right now, the Feng Shui Gang is in Budabest, Hungary. I was the Opening and Closing Ceremonialist to the International Feng Shui Conference in 2005, held here in San Diego. I know what it feels like to be connected to my Soul. I know what it feels like today to be disconnected from my Soul. My Soul is a Woman. I start wanting feminine energy when I feel this disconnection. There is no cure but to ge ...   read more
