Apparently was a naturalized citizen. A Declaration of Intent is on file with the court in St. Louis, MO.
R. L. Alsaker graduated from Loyola University, Medical Department, with the M. D. degree. He located in Denver, Colorado, and practiced his profession there several years. In 1913 he removed to St. Louis. Missouri. (was still living there according to the 1920 and 1930 census). Regarding the Sun-Diet Health Foundation of Dr. William Howard Hay and Dr. Rasmus L. Alsaker
The Foundation was located at 261 Cazenovia Street in East Aurora, NY. It was founded in 1922 by Dr. John Hanavan and was first known as the Suncure Sanatorium. The Sun-Diet Foundation was formed in 1927 by Oliver F. Cabana, Jr., a Buffalo businessman (banker and political leader).
The Foundation’s 18 acres of land included a golf course, small lake, woods, and tennis courts. Sixty employees took care of the 1,000 guests that stayed each year at the 80 room clinic. The foundation closed in 1941 and its buildings made into apartments.
