Thank you for this information about Dr. Alsaker. I just recently came across one his books at a thrift store, I had not heard of him prior to then. His book was titled Curing Catarrh, Coughs and Colds. It is very well written and interesting to read. The thing that struck me most about this book was that, coming from a M.D., it was completely straight forward, and more concerned with preventative measures towards illness. This sort of medical knowledge seems to be overlooked now, and I find it sad that the medical system further complicates illness, when there is tried and true information out there, as you will find in his writings. There isn't much online about this Doctor. I would really like to gather more information on him, and have his history published on Wikipedia. If anyone has further info about his life, his writings, etc, please let me know. I look forward to finding and reading his other books, and learning more about him.
