Poem:Great Mother 14 y
Samsara, literally meaning "continuous flow", is the cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth; a process of continuous pursuit or flow of life.*
Great Mother
In the heart of the night,
there is only everything.
Always emanations
casting seeds into
wet and fertile fields.
All cross over
the rainbow’s bridge
catching the energy of the stars
along the way.
Like begets like.
The Word becomes flesh.
The nothing
becomes something.
Things appear,
things disappear.
Samsara.
The Mother of All is constant.

Story:The Give Away 14 y
Another story from my childhood spent with Grandfather
THE GIVE AWAY
When I was a child, once a year around the Fall Equinox, we participated in what we called “The Give Away.” Grandfather always felt that we had an abundance of things and wanted to share what we had. We would prepare for this event all year. I remember making crib quilts and rag rugs along with saving seeds for this time. We also brought maple syrup that we made, and other things. Grandfather would load up the truck and take our “give- aways” to the big event. Once there we would set up our table and put out the things w ... read more

ART!"Justice"Assemblage 14 y
I named this art assemblage piece "Justice" because the three balls looked like the balls in the Justice pictures I've seen.
“JUSTICE”
This is an assemblage of probably five pieces of metal from different sources....one was a lamp piece, the others I don’t remember now where I found them. The lady on top I found as a hula doll at a garage sale and I cut off the bottom to add it on. Once done I decided that it looked like it was always one piece because they all fit together so well!

Boxes & Limitations 14 y
Early morning poetic thoughts
Thoughts about Boxes and Limitations
We tend to live in the thimble of life.
For generations we’ve been born into boxes of limitations,
each generation living according to the expectations
of the generation that came before,
everyone only daring to push the imagined limits
as far as the current society can allow.
Each generation thinks that they truly have pushed the limits,
have really stepped forward into some new direction,
some new frontier.
Dancing on the edges of breakthroughs,
taking it way too seriously, and not all ... read more
Art:RUST 14 y
New art collage made of rusty metal and paper
”RUST”
This is a collage I made for an art challenge. It has a background of brownish specialty paper that has stamps printed on it. That background was layered with two layers of tea bags and a center piece of a rusty piece of metal that I found. Under the metal piece there is a layer of ochre hand made tissue paper. The gold printed circle near the top of the piece was from an earring as is the dangle triangle and the two ochre squares that are at the corners. Lots of layers!

Non-Resistance 14 y
We resist change, even when we are miserable. Learn to live in JOY!
The path of JOY and NON RESISTANCE
Why is it that we seem to go kicking and screaming into change?
Why do we seem to think that all change is bad?
Why do we think that the path of JOY is so difficult?
Why do we say...”Oh I’m having too much fun!”?
As if there should be a limit on being in
EN-JOY-MENT !
We drag our heels when we see change coming.
We yell and scream and invent dramas in order to avoid something new.
Why not allow the changes to be a good thing?
Why not allow JOY to be an ordinary part of our lives?
We would rather bang our heads against the walls ... read more
Story:Ordinary Day 14 y
Story recollecting my wonderful days spent with Grandfather when I was a child. Grandfather teaches me the Old Ways about being grateful for each day and the "ordinary" things of life.
Grandfather’s House AN ORDINARY DAY When I was young I used to spend summers with my Grandfather.
I have so many great memories of these times. Someone has been encouraging me to write down some of these memories. Here is a memory of what I would call an ordinary day: The day starts when the sun comes up and the roosters start to crow. The house has no running water, electricity, or bathroom--just an outhouse. The night before we fill up a pitcher of water to pour into a bowl to wash up with. The outhouse is ... read more
