Just an additional comment about my root canal removal
I asked to keep the tooth. I wanted him to hand it to me but he said that I should sterilize it when I got home. I found this to be odd. It’s ok for the tooth to be in my mouth but not for me to touch it. Maybe he thought the bacteria was unsafe. I had my root canal extracted because of the many symptoms I was experiencing such ast arthritis and ringing in my ears.

Since then, I’ve seen a general physician who did blood work and told me I have low thyroid function. I was at the dentist later that day. The dentist was actually fairly nice to me about my thoughts on root canal. He said he would remove it but that I shouldn’t get it removed. We both decided that it is possible that the previous crown that I had on the root canal was leaking. Then when he put a new crown on that sealed it and the bacteria could not escape.
