Thats hitting a nail on the head - I don't believe in god, or an after-life other than nutrients from our bodies that nourish the soils for simpler life forms as part of a cycle, or that there is a "plan" or set of events that all life will follow predictably, but that we determine most of what happens.
However, I do believe that there is a larger force that we can use, if we are in harmony with it, to help us in life. It is tied to nature, which truly reflects that life force - we can learn about this life-force from nature.
