When belief systems take over one's psyche, the guru is like a parasitic spiritual dis ease. It is no longer our path but an extention of their path.
When energy is placed on defending ego rather that exploring actual attachements to beliefs (information and programming), a person stays trapped in an outer illusion being projected on to them.
Instead of getting clear, one then takes on a new pattern and in cases of incoherent cult energies, the pattern can be very dysfunctional. The person filter's their world view through the very mindset of the cult and loses their own unique identity.
This filter supplants a type of victim consciousness onto the person accepting the programming. They will flail in defence of this pain body to be stimulated. The filter dominates the underlying obscured clear soul.
Information is beniegn but the mirror it throws up can certainly initiate a storm in someone who is saturated with storm clouds. The information is nothing more than a "stir stick."
Aren't belief systems powerful. I am always fascinated by this phenomenon.
