I am sorry to hear that your husband is going through this.
My dad died 12/13/2005 from this. It is a battle, but one that I believe can be beat with the right mindset, and also knowledge of how the body works and what it needs to remain capable of healing itself.
My dad believed he could heal himself for a few months after he was diagnosed, but I think became overwhelmed with all the information that my sister and I were giving him, not to mention his own self doubt about his own ability.
I believe very strongly in mind over matter, or better yet...that our thoughts will reproduce themselves in our cells, and they in turn will create our thoughts for us.
I also believe in stepping outside of the traditional medicines, and using what we have naturally around us to aide ourselves in our own healing.
I don't have the answers here, but if I could offer any advice at all, as to what I believe to be the most effective avenue in overcoming the illness, that would be to have you and your husband do the very best that you can in controlling and changing the thought processes that may be tied into this illness. Our body believes every word we say, and then in turn, creates that for us, even on the subconscious levels, and so it can be a difficult feat to try and remain conscious and also in full belief at all times, that your husband is in control of the illness and can infact, overpower and change the way his body reacts to it.
All of the other components here, the juicing, the raw foods, the vitamins, etc, are important in the healing process, but I believe that they too, are secondary to what it is that we believe and buy into in our thought processes.
My Dad lived his life by his own set of rules and beliefs, not leaving much room for new beliefs or ways of thinking. Once diagnosed with this illness back in March of last year, he started to open his mind a bit, and more with time, and he actually sought out a medicine man and many books and programs, and he followed those things valiantly. But I think that it was very hard for him to allow himself to fully let go and trust in the new ways of thinking of things.
So that would be what I would offer here...diligently work on changing those messages and beliefs about who we are and believing and trusting in our own capabilities in our own bodies. Everything else will fall into place.
There are many knowledgeable people out there, that have embraced this concept, and one of my favorites is Deepak Chopra. Also, others such as Dr. Wayne Dyer, or Carolyn Myss....along with many others...but these are the ones that have impacted my life the most as I have listened to them speak and have read their books. But there are many knowledgeable people out there.
Keep this in mind though, just for starters. Each time you or your husband accept that he has cancer, by even repeating that outloud or even in your thoughts....your body will keep recreating that in it's cells.
I urge you to explore this avenue of the healing process, even more diligently than you have explored the outside methods, that will treat the body. Yes, those are important, absolutely...but I believe with all that I am, that we heal from the inside out, from our thought processes and beliefs...first and foremost. And I believe that when that part of ourselves is moving in a healing direction, that the body will indeed follow.
My heart to yours,
