Thanks for the great post. It sounds somewhat similar to me and my family's quest.
Please note, Histopath's testing still can miss detecting infection. We were all tested many times and for example my daughter was negative in all tests. However, PCR testing showed her to be infected with DF.
I say this because if you were infected then your husband would very very likely also be infected. Please google research by Damien Stark at St Vincent's. He wrote a case study about two families which demonstrates that you need to test using Pcr and also that you need to treat the whole family otherwise reinfection will occur.
