Jason, false starts are common. Do not feel so bad for it. You just gather your energies up and try to do it again.
I have had my false starts. Some thing that helped me was reading, reading, and more reading about water fasting. The more educated we are, the easier it gets to have a real start in water fasting.
Also, many of us, after reading that much, go for a water fasting with no definite end date...we just got to play it by ear because every body is different, and ...it takes so much determination, frankly. But determination is something we can feed with education and some extra time.
If you have the kind of emotional eating disorder you have-that is the kind I also have- you will realize, sooner or later, that WATER FASTING IS A LOT EASIER THAN A CALORIE RESTRICTED DIET.-that is, for people like us.
