I am sorry to hear that you have a Fibromyalgia type of illness Liora.

I have done a lot of research on chronic pain conditions, and I came to the conclusion, or idea at least, that it has something to do with "sensory processing" where our brains get signals from the body and then do weird things with them, like cause pain where pains are not needed, and muscle spasms where they are not appropriate.

That is why chemical sensitivity and smells and sounds and so on are often "too much" for us when others are not bothered by them.[I write about this in some of my blog entries].

It may also have a positive side... we are "too sensitive", but sensitive is the realm of a higher state of being!! Sure, it may be painfull and disabling, but it might also be a gift at some point, even if we are just helping to understand it, or maybe we are passing on some trait that some future being will use.

Obviously, I am scratching and clawing trying to find something good here, but this idea keeps me going at times!!
