You certainly have out done yourself, Lady!!    Much of what you write is true; not all of it but much of it ... 

Well I have been a student of history, political science, as well as science, art and litriture...   I say that to say this... 

I have blogged on this question of the purpose and actions of the voting public on several ocassions...  TO put it in a short form:

Most people only vote for what they think they can get out of the system...  In the last fifty years, the citizens of the USA; for the most part, seem to have become puppets who follow the whims of the leading politicians...  Rather like a carrot on the stick approach used for pack animals...   

An example...  Social (In)Security is broke; Oh what ever are we going to do??   Then Congress and the President come to save the day...  "Vote for us and we will save you..."   But then next election we are in the same mess, and they plan to save SS once more...  It will never be really saved or solid until the Congress; gets on SS like everyone else, then it will not be political ball to be kicked around each election...   It is like an Ole Mighty Mouse Cartoon!!   " Mighty Mouse is here to save the day!"  HUH!!

But most people do not see the big picture or the reasons they are manipulated...

Enough for now I could write a couple of books on this chain of thought...  The truth about politics in the USA...  Just never elect an incumbent, and they will not have to promise anything or stick around long enough to get that Golden Parachute retirement from Congress...  What do you think about that??
