Blog: I'm having a Baby (Eventually)
This weekend me and My Guy made the love that I hope will conceive our child! It was nice too; very gentle and very sweet. Very nice love in which to conceive a child. Right before we went upstairs he grabbed my hand looked me in the eye and said, “We are about to do something that could change our lives.” I’m glad he recognizes what we are doing; although, he is coming down with a case of frozen feet. This is the same man who managed to talk me into something that all the men before him have never been able to do.
He is really scared. I think I may have been too direct with my approach. Let me tell why I’m thinking this… (1) He thinks that I would only be willing to have sex with him only when I’m ovulating. I’m not Catholic. He has nothing to worry about. (2) He’s concerned that we don’t have enough money to start this project. Granted we aren’t rich, yet, but we have more than many couples who start their families. (3) He’s concerned that if we don’t work out, I will keep him from our child or bring another man around the baby. If things don’t work out, I will get another man. Case closed. (4) He seems rather weirded out with all the arrangements and the research that I have done to get prepared. I’ve been acquiring and reading books, adjusted my diet, quit smoking, and am taking prenatal vitamin with that nasty orange juice. That’s how I do it. I am very organized, although not very disciplined.
If we do work out, I will not tell him when I’m trying to get pregnant again. I’ll just do it and leave him to deal with the fallout after-the-fact. That’s the way most black men get it sprung on them anyhow.
I know it’s way too soon, but I feel pregnant right now. After sex, I put my pelvis on a pillow to guide the sperm to my goody area. I telling you I have fatigue, breast tenderness and swelling, irritability, and mood changes. I am tempted to take a pregnancy test but I know it’s too soon.

*** DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! DANGER!!! Where I lived, you know what most black men do when women do that? THEY LEAVE. Although you aren't married, you can have a close relationship built on TRUST and HONESTY. I'm telling you this as a friend because I'm reading your blog and when someone is desperate, they do STUPID desperate things. Don't lie to your man. I used to work in a store where a lot of the bruthas would complain that their women are liars, don't respect them,etc. You don't want to be one of them do you???
