Blog: Master Cleanse Jan 2006
For the past three weeks, I have been eating squeaky clean. Last night I caved and had a handful of Wheat Thins (mainly because I knew I was going to start cleansing today), but other than that, it's been three weeks of fruits, veggies, legumes, nuts, salmon, and brown rice.
I gave up soda years ago, not a regular coffee drinker, also cut out white sugar and white flour about a year ago and noticed a tremendous improvement in my mood stability.
So. Today I am doing a liver flush for the first time. I am a little nervous. I am afraid of becoming nauseous! So we'll see how that goes.
This morning: 2 packets of EmergenC, a mug of warm water with 1 tsp. honey, 1.5 tsp. of apple cider vinegar, and the juice of 1/2 lemon. This is part of my 'wake up gently' morning ritual.
I do plan to deviate from the master cleanse just a bit. I will continue to take DMAE and CoQ10 through the fast, to boost energy and keep inflammation in my spine down...I can't take the chance that the arthritis will flare up and leave me bed-bound. I suppose some would say to 'trust the process', however, I am trusting my instincts.
I also will take 30 drops of green tea extract each day to keep my metabolism up. After having lost 80 lbs., with another 25-30 to go, my body is hesitant to let go of any more fat.
Breakfast is going to be a rice protein shake with blueberries, vanilla extract and a packet of Sweetleaf stevia powder. An apple for a snack, another shake for lunch, and a bowl of fresh spinach and romaine lettuce. I may get some blackeyed peas, since I have been craving those like crazy lately :)
At 2 pm, I'll stop eating and start the Hulda Clark liver flush process.
I'll give y'all a play-by-play :) You know you love it! Everyone I know who does a cleanse or a flush LOVES to find blogs that describe everything (including me!) and HATES to find a blog that starts out all high spirits and big expectations, and you never hear from them again after day 2.
I've done it before so I know I've got what it takes (can you hear the Rocky theme playing? hahaha)!! Besides, this is a birthday present to myself, I won't flake out on my own SELF will I?? I am much to in love with me to let me down :)

Yes. I'm ready for the play-by-play. I'm currently prepping for a 5 day fast by the end of the month and need the inspiration. Just know that at least one person out here is watching and learning from you, so don't let me down (haha!). You're a good writer too, so I know it'll be easy to follow your blog. Thanks for sharing!

You are just too cute...I know what you mean about loving yourself too much to give your body bad food, It's hard but we are worth it:)! So how is the cleanse coming along? I am eager to hear some tips and tricks to keep a going on it. Any comments?
I too love the sweetleaf stevia, the added fiber is my favorite part. I make the best smoothies and chocolate coconut shakes with the chocolate sweetleaf stevia. Coconut milk is so tasty and has mucho health benefits. I also like to start off my day with a fresh squeezed lemon, it's great to clear out all the mucus and toxins that collected overnight. I will try with the apple cider vinegar becuase I have that too! Good luck:)
