Blog: Wedding Diet
Every day, every hour seems so poignant and so full and so deep. It's a strange twilight these days before the wedding. Yesterday I worked my butt off until 2PM and ended up crashing bigtime, sans food and not enough water... I felt so horrible that I walked calmly into my boss's office and said I HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE I've done everything I can for tomorrow.
I went straight to the store, bought the most yummy beer I could find and had some chicken bites. (I know it's bad but it was the only thing I was craving and I was in a really bad place). Came home, sipped a beer, read and passed out. It was lovely. I did have some lacto fermented cabbage last night so hopefully I didnt rack myself up too bad ;)
After the first colonic for two days I took Magnesium Citrate (10oz each day). Today was the second colonic and it went much better than the first. I don't feel cleaned out, but it was awful the first time - I could hardly take any water in.
So today was a bit better. It's been a crazy day, really. I woke up at 5AM showered went to work to make sure I hadn't missed anything (I produce radio spots so there's lots of work to be done every day for the next day and beyond). All clear, I went to get a facial which was just dynamite. I relaxed to sleep almost and felt very refreshed.
Got back to work, trained the guy who's taking over for me while I take 8 DAYS OFF WORK!!! Then off to the colonic. Just as I walked into the office, which is more like a house, there was a huge crash and I saw trees fall over into the front yard. Someone had lost their vision and almost hit the house - she drove right across the lawn. My colon hydrotherapist said that we both must be protected, because not only had the person not driven into the house but they had not run me over as I was standing out front (I missed it by max 60 seconds).
Anyway, I got some blockages out and was able to hold much more water this time. It was still uncomfortable but I breathed through it. I have been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) so she thinks some of the blockage may be a cyst that's pushed up against the descending colon. Interesting stuff. I will have it all checked out once I come down from wedding land. Lots of things could be due to stress at this point.
Got back to work, worked for a while, realized I hadn't eaten all day, and I'm preparing to go to the gym so I have to eat something. Just had some amazing 3 bean salad and spicy noodles from the coop. My tummy feels full, probably not the best for going to the gym, but I'm going to take it pretty easy, hopefully an hour walking on the treadmill doing handweights.
And before I left for the colonic, I got an email from HR telling me that I only had 5 days vacation in 2006, rather than 10. That almost broke me. I almost broke into tears. But I kept it together and my boss has promised to clear it up for me, bless her.
So please everyone put super strong positive vibrations out there to keep the thunderstorms away from the wedding site (Cabot VT) on Saturday, 7/22 at 3:30 PM. That's real specific info so please send out your energy - you all know I'm totally drained these days and I could use some community strength on this because I dream of this wedding in the sunshine.
thanks! I've got one more day of work left which is when I usually find time to post. But I'll do my best to keep the updates coming next week!
