Blog: Wedding Diet
I've never fasted starting in the afternoon before. It makes my day "turn over" at about 2 PM.
So I'm feeling cranky and crappy. Of course. Wedding stuff is piling on and I hardly had a moment to myself this morning as I was working the emails kept coming in and coming in, my brother will be spending lots of time with us the week before the wedding which is good.
major headache action this morning, I'm feeling bettter. Tonight I'm doing yoga and giving myself a manicure and continuing to work on the music for the wedding.
I'm hoping to make it through one week fasting, as my family is coming in and I have lots of lunch plans and I can't very well not eat. Also fasting during this uber stressful time may not be the best idea. I don't know.
AAAARGH SUPER OVERWHELMED RIGHT NOW.

I admire your efforts! I can't imagine juice fasting when I was wedding planning and so close to the big day. I wanted to let you know that I did read in my juice fasting book that it is not a good idea to to fast when you are under too much stress. Your body isn't allowed the energy to heal because it is used up by the stress. Maybe you can do a modified juice diet instead of a full out fast during this time? Since you have so many lunch plans you could juice for breakfast and dinner and enjoy a light lunch. You would still get the weight loss results that way - maybe just not as fast. Best wishes with everything!

So, I too am at the beginning of a juice fast. I'm on Day 2 and I have been biting my children and husband's heads off today. I feel jittery and like my nerve ending have been frayed. I also sort of feel exhilerated all at the same time. I agree with the last post....don't take this on if you are feeling over the edge right now. I like the idea about doing a modified fast.....drink water or fresh juice only and then IF you are in a situation in which you have to eat....just make a really smart chice, you know a lovely salad or something. Just get right back at it after the event. Regardless of what happes, we're all here cheering you on and applauding your efforts!

Firstly, I think I'd be crabby without the wedding stuff! I totally understand. I'm not a good faster really, I can't stand being around or smelling food, it kind of drives me crazy! However I can eat 100% raw till the cows come home (that's a hilarious phrase when you put it all together).
Thanks for the support, see my latest I'm totally modifying. Good luck with your efforts.
