Blog: Wedding Diet
Yesterday I was bad - I had french fries and ranch dressing. So good, but I felt horrible when I was trying to go to sleep - bloated.
So today it's leftover chef salad and cut up celery, carrots and a few dates.
Last night for dinner I had beef tenderloin, portabello mushrooms and steamed broccoli.
Did go to yoga, am running today.

Well, one thing that I have read and learned through your progress and struggles is that you can't beat yourself up (only human). Overall, you are doing amazing and must be feeling great. With all the running you are doing, you practically deserve a few french fries.
One thing I am making a point to do is make a daily effort to diet and exercise. In the big picture, that's what it's all about, right! I am trying to loose 15 pounds in the next 4.5 weeks in time to choose a Wedding location. I was thinking about juice fasting for a few days. Any advice?

Juice fasting for a few days is a great idea. So here are a few tips. Make sure you have a good juicer - see finallyfaith's juicer reviews for good ones. The breville kicks ass.
1) don't get hung up on the numbers, it's progress that counts.
2) eat raw for three days before you start your fast. This will ease you into the juice fast.
3) drink water drink water drink water
4) if you work like I do, it's a major effort. Wash / peel your veggies and fruits the night before, so you don't have to do any major peeling and/or cutting first thing in the morning. Nothing makes you more miserable.
5) start the day with a yummy fruit juice, (pineapple orange, or carrot ginger, or apple pear)
6) midday or evening make sure to get some veggie juice down. It can be gross but you need it.
7) supplement with tea and veggie broth (I got some organic powder veggie broth at the coop)
8) prepare your fiance for your pending mood swings and need to stay away from food - for the first few days have good books standing by, do not hang out in the kitchen, all that. I found it torturous to be around people cooking.
9) START SMALL. get through three to four days and see how you feel. I made it to 8 days, trying for 30, and it was too much to bite off for my first attempt. Start small, have compassion for yourself. You'll feel great.
10) exercise - by this I mean get out and walk for 10 minutes each day. Don't do anything too strenuous until you figure out how things feel.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!
