Thanks everyone, it's so nice to feel you all out there. Thanks for bearing with me.
So I tried on my size 10 jeans. They did NOT FIT. But that's OK, I expected that. I got them further up than I thought I would. My shape is very hourglass - a tiny waist, heavy hips and thighs and upper arms, thin wrists and ankles. So I got the jeans up past my thighs, which I was worried about (you know, when they stop 3/4 of the way up your leg).
So I'm looking at myself, with the jeans looking cool, except that my butt and hip fat actually is spilling UPWARDS and over the back. Hilarious. Oh, and the zipper is stretched about as far open as it can go. Really, funny. Actually writing about it now makes me laugh, and that's a good sign. I'm glad I tried. I hope that in a month I can get them on. I think it's possible.
That's a good goal.
Yesterday:
No breakfast (bad girl)
1 piece of pizza (see? that's why you have breakfast, so you don't grab a piece of pizza at lunch when you ordered a perfectly lovely salad)
greek salad with feta, tomoatoes, lettuce, green peppers, onions, olive oil (large salad, ate three quarters of it slowly between 2-3 PM)
diet pepsi
workout:
20 minutes on bike
20 minutes on elliptical trainier
20 minutes walking on treadmill
20 minutes on elliptical trainer
20 minutes on bike
I didn't go really hard, kept the heart rate between 130 and 150. I wanted to warm up the muscles but not strain them, as today's the big run day (4 miles). I'm really excited to run again today, even though it was kind of rough last week. I am stronger now, just a little bit.
Dinner:
Got home, salted & peppered some tofu after draining it, baked at 350 for a few minutes, flipped them, then wrapped tofu, basil, avocado and sesame/soy/peanut sauce (the fiance whipped the sauce together). We used rice wrappers, like spring rolls, but not fried. They're really neat. We made a pile of wraps, and ate them. He made a little maple/vinegar dipping sauce with GRENADINE that was way delicious, and probably a little sugary for the diet, but it was delicious, full of fresh things, and full of protein.
Oh and I tanned for 6.5 minutes. Back again tonight.
No alcohol. Good girl. I won't be so good tonight, as I'm getting together with the future sister in law. Hopefully we can work everything out tonight. I'm not really sure what there is to work out. I'm really worked up about this, so I'm trying to pick a couple talking points and stick to them. I mean the girl is totally unsuccessful in love, so I don't want to talk about that (because I'm so happily in love!).
I'll ask her all about her new job,
about where she wants to live,
about what she's doing this weekend,
about her friends in New Orleans
that's it. Those are the four things. I'm not to talk about myself at all and I'm not to talk about the wedding. Can you F*cking believe this? I have to walk on eggshells around her (my first bridesmaid). I don't even want to give her the present I bought her and the other girls (earrings, very lovely) because I'm "not supposed to talk about the wedding" tonight. She doesn't want to hear about it. OK. It's great when you have to censor yourself to hang out with someone who's supposedly a good friend.
Job
new apt.
weekend.
New Orleans.
I have my talking points.
Today I had a pint pineapple and mint juice for breakfast,
a glass of diet pepsi at 10 AM
now I'm just going to drink lots of water and have some deviled eggs, a banana, and some yogurt over the next few hours, to get ready for my run this afternoon.

Hey Lady,
Good for you..... with all the working out. I am going to try to work out twice a day starting today. And then starting the South Beach Diet on Monday. Are you still starting the South Beach Monday?
Just from what you have written the last couple days, it sounds like your future sister in law/Bride's Maid is at least a little jealous if not.... alot. I mean..... you are in love, getting married, looking better and more in shape, and have fabulous things to look forward to and plan for. It's really too bad that she is being selfish and trying to dim some of your spot light during this special time. But good for you for having compassion and patience with her. Does she realize that she is being this way?
Good luck with your talk and your 4 mile run!

didn't start the diet, had a crazy weekend and I'm still catching up.
Twice a day workouts, huh? That's awesome. I guess I need to do that. I'm pretty frustrated with myself at the moment.
Yes I think the sis in law is jealous and has her own issues.
But I can't do anything about it...
Take care.
