I ran 4 miles on Friday afternoon. Holy jebus - that was a long run, with hills and all. My muscles on the backs of my ankles are sore, but I'm proud of myself and will try to run this route once a week. I can't stand any more wear and tear on the feet & ankles. I'm going to do some ankle dips to try to strengthen my ankles for next week.
We drank all the beer in the house, and I decried, "no more BOOZE!!!" We're starting south beach phase 1 next week, but I'm glad all the beer and almost all the liquor is out of the house. My goal is no booze till June.
We're going to baltimore this weekend to see my cousins, and I'll have to have lots of flavored seltzer with me, but i can do it.
Back to the gym this afternoon and doing lots of cardio. Rock on!

Yay! A Dazzle sighting!
I'm working on it. I am not skinnying down. I've lost 10 pounds total, and I'm hoping for another 10 by the wedding. After that, I can move at a moderate pace, continuing to exercise and eat well, but not at this feverish pitch!
Great to hear from you, I hope you're doing well.

- Running is the best! by tambee

I just today joined this site to get me more motivated to step up my healthy eating and to drop a few pounds before my wedding next June in 2007. Nothing like fitting into a beautiful white dress to help expedite the process!
I fasted all last week on the Master Cleanser and went for a 40 minute run along the beach on Friday. It really gave me energy for the weekend and helped me to get the "right" mind set. I seriously feel like I get in better shape much faster when I run.
Good luck with everything and keep on running! ; )

Running IS the best. I have to get my body in shape for it. I wish I weighed a little less so the pounding on the pavement didn't jar me so much. I might walk down the hills this week. I'm doing other stuff but one long run a week is my goal.
Welcome! Good luck on your wedding shape-up. Running on the beach sounds awesome - low impact and it's really harder on the sand.
Wow. A whole year for training - you're going to do great.

Yes, exactly. I'm only running once a week, because my knees and ankles just don't really like it.
I've always been a swimmer.
So I'm definitely trying to tune in to what's going on, what's achey but not really injured, etc.
Compassion is something I'm focusing on in a lot of different parts of my life. Thanks for reminding me to point it back at myself~!
