Blog: Wedding Diet
first off, thanks for getting me to look into soy. I had heard some things but thought they mostly applied to menopausal women. So the continued journey into learning control. It's that simple - control.
There's going to be no permanent progress unless I learn control, as related to food. And on this front, I can say I have come a long way, I think.
Yesterday I got back in the gym and it was awesome. 600 calories on the aerobic machines, and then weights for 45 minutes. Workout - 5:10 - 6:45. I know that if I continue to workout at least that long, I can't go wrong. Also yesterday I walked to the co-op to get my salad, 1.5 miles total. A good lunch walk, great to get out of the crazy office and breathe.
A bit of salad, some marinated tofu for lunch, and some soy milk (I am skewing soy, it's true :) I saved 3/4 of the salad to eat for dinner. Also 2 tootsie rolls.
Dinner - salad, 2 cans of natty lite beer to celebrate the beginning of the baseball season, and 1/2 a boca spicy faux-chicken breaded patty with muenster cheese. Dude if you haven't had boca spicy chicken breaded patties - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRY THEM!!! They're so yummy! I think the regular boca burgers taste like ass. ASS, I say. But these are yummy! With a thin slice of cheese - it tasted like Wendy's. Like what I always wanted Wendy's to taste like.
So it was a very good day, eating wise, and I felt awesome back in the gym. When I don't work out, I avoid looking at myself in the mirror, and when I do, I can't stop looking. It's funny what a dual personality I have, I'm a true pisces. That's why it's pizza or tofu. There's very little middle ground for me naturally, but I'm learning.
Today I had 100 cal yogurt, lunch

Ha ha ha ha! Your post sure made me laugh! I am enjoying reading your blog.
Kudos on your workout! I agree, there is something about working out that makes you want to stare in the mirror! As if we can see the results of that one workout!
