  • Fasting 3/10   by  annaconda     18 y     2,323       3 Messages Shown       Blog: Wedding Diet
Today it's Wednesday, and yesterday I went and got lots of yummy organic stuff to juice at the coop. So yesterday's dinner was:

    3 stalks celery
    a bunch of baby arugula
a cucumber (peeled, b/c not organic)
    a bunch of cilantro
    a little basil
    2 tomatoes
    a lemon
    a yellow pepper

(btw, that makes a lot of juice)
That was after a good hard gym workout, and I sipped it slowly. Sure is filling!
I'm a little over the veggie juice, though. It's the reason I can't stay on the juice fast for very long. I don't want to rely on the fruits too much, I know the veggies are really full of nutrients, especially after a hard workout.

I remember last time I made one juice that was so un-tasty that I almost puked, and that was the thing that made me feel I was DONE with the fast. I can stick with this for 10 days, I know it. Yesterday afternoon I started to feel hungry but it was crazy at work, and the afternoon just went by.

At the gym, I did 25 minutes on the bike (4.9 miles) and 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer, followed by 35 minutes of weights and calisthenics. I was going crazy with the pushups, using the balance ball for my lower legs. At first they were hard but at the end of the workout I was going good with the pushups.

However I did notice a strange feeling as I finished my cardio, and my heart rate was a little higher than usual. But I also did the elliptical as opposed to the treadmill, which is a different exercise my body's not used to.

Things are certainly easy at home, as the fiance has taken to bringing home frozen lean cuisine while I'm fasting - he's on a budget and I'm fasting. The fact that the house is not oozing with yummy cooking smells is a huge help for me for these first few days. And the tivo is great - we can watch the world baseball classic with no commercials, so I don't have to look at freakin taco bell commercials all night.

This AM I did an warm water enema, trying to get out some stuff that hasn't passed probably since the weekend. I know, that's bad, but I have super slow and sluggish digestion. I'm thinking oxypowder was seriously made for me and I CAN'T WAIT till I get home from my Saturday afternoon commitment - I'm going to take that stuff and get cleaned out.

After doing a few colonics, I know those enemas don't do crap (haha) to clean me out. The stuff i have up there is really stubborn and stuck, and the colonic, with repeated fill & release was the only thing that could get to the old stuff.

I'm a little meh right now, not feeling super energetic, not feeling bad, just average. It's not too busy at work which is a godsend so I'm trying to get the wedding stuff in order.

Things are moving fast wedding wise and I'm starting to feel crazed about it. My future sister in law who was my best friend before I met her brother, is coming back from Louisiana where she was helping with reconstruction, and I can't wait. I feel alone up here in VT. My bridesmaids are all scattered (NYC, lousiana & maine), my family is in Pittsburgh, and my fiance has been great and helpful, but honestly he doesn't really want to deal more than he has to, which is totally fine with me.

But my girl will be here by 4/15. I also scheduled a tax appointment, which terrifies me, because I think I owe some money. But whatever, face the demons, get it over with!!!!!!!!

Support & love to you all.

    • it's worth it   by  ren     18 y     876
Today I tried on my dress for the first time since it came in from the company. It's a little LOOSE and a month ago I had to suck it in Scarlett O'Hara style to get the zipper up. Just keep it up. I'm getting a little *ahem* aware of the impending nuptials too :D

YEAH!!!!!!!!! THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I NEED TO HEAR!!!!!!!!

congratulations. That's totally excellent. I'm feeling awesome and I know I'm making progress. My hubby said can I please please make you a salad tonight and I said I love you but no, I'm committed to making these changes so I can be your happy shining bride who is hamming it up for the camera, not shying away.

Thanks for the update. I really appreciate it.
